@Pinktay, sounds like you've got a busy day! lemme know what you think once you get that far
@Ian Butler, So happy to hear you say that, seeing as your writing style is one of the best on the forum! We're now making it towards his Pro-career, so hopefully it'll be easier to write from now on!

I think it's nice he has so much backstory before starting off in the professional ranks.
He was a late starter in cycling but he made up for it very fast! Definitely a talent! |

The years he spent as a runner helped him to stay in shape, and then it was a case of who he met after moving, but then... I guess you know that much, you've read his book

I started the 2015 season earlier than i'd ever done before, at the STDU, I immediately got the support i'd been craving at BNP and was named leader! Here's me chasing Cancellara up Wilunga hill.
Not the most convincing of margins, but I actually won the overall GC! Despite not taking stages I just never lost time and ended up taking the Ochre Jersey in Australia by a mere 1 second, a sign of good things to come?
Goss wins the Milan-San Remo. As a team built mainly for sprinters we'd hoped to do something here, but Degenkolb just couldn't quite keep up in the last few hundred metres.
Tour of Flanders 2015. My dream comes true. I got full support from the team and just managed to hang on in the sprint against a flying Tom Boonen. All I could do was to hope for the best as I saw him coming under my arm as I began to celebrate!
Onto the Paris-Roubaix now, and once again I was fighting up the front. With a 50gap me and Ballan were able to fight it out in the sprint. Not wanting to lead him out it was time to play some of the games I'd seen Taylor using, "trackstanding" in the Roubaix Velodrome!
Not that it mattered, he had the jump on me and managed to get past to take the victory. Never the less 2nd place was a great result at just 24, and the sponsors were happy with the results i'd provided this year on the cobbles. 2nd in Omloop Het, 6th G-W, 1st RvV and 2nd Paris-Roubaix.
The biggest change for me in 2015, is that people were beginning to look at me as an all round classics competitor of the future. I only rode the Fleche Wallone, which Gilbert won after a powerful sprint up the Mur, but I did hang in for 16th place!
From Classics to the Giro, I didn't ride it, but BNP showed everyone that they still owned the roads of Italy. Despite the best efforts of Alberto Contador, there was no stopping there new signing Thibaut Pinot, who won overall by over 4minutes, whilst Hesjedal came 3rd.
Sadly I couldn't keep my National Champion title, I came 3rd in the sprint, behind Tejay Van Garderen and Chris Barton.
The 2015 Tour De France decided to throw an extra difficulty in, with some cobbles on stage 4. I found myself in the white jersey on that day, and launched an attack over the cobbles. I caught the other stage favourites off guard by going early, and sure enough was en route to my second TdF stage victory...
And a day in the Maillot Jaune! Granted it was only one day (Stage 5 was a TTT where I had to let it go) but never the less I had done it, I'd stood on the podium, in France, wearing the greatest prize in cycling!
After that my race was spent as a domestique for the sprinters, and drawing my season almost to a close. I finished off in Montréal where my late attack was caught, I finished well down in the placings, but none the less I can look back at 2015 and say it was my absolute breakthrough year. A monument victory, wearing the Maillot Jaune, and a team who were working for me. 2015 saw the beginning of a very happy partnership between me and the German Team, E.ON Cycling.
The last photo I have from the 2015 season is from the craziest WC I can remember. It saw the riders that participated climbing a 13% average 8km mountain 14times, and the winner Fabio Aru, was in the saddle for 9h'52!

@Francopell, glad to hear it mate! hopefully we can keep you entertained as he heads towards his strongest years
@Ian Butler, Yeah It seems his decision to move to E.ON was a good one, the combination of classics and sprint specialists gives him a team perfectly catering for him
@Daggen, Glad you think so, I'll hopefully get the next chapter started next week once my uni work is back under control
@Pinktay3, I hope to keep you entertained for a lot longer yet

Guys I know i've not put anything new out for a while, and I'm going to put this on hold for a bit, I'm getting deadline after deadline thrown at me in my uni work, so I'm going to focus on that for a while.
As you've probably guessed, any report for this takes a long time to put together, whether through playing a full season, or just in the time for researching details for the next chapter, I'll possibly get one out next weekend, hope you don't mind the wait

Take your time, it's a great story and you shouldn't rush it.
But can't wait for the next chapter, though |
