Our hero is off and running. But now he sees the true challenge ahead. All notions of victory are almost dashed at the first hurdle. On rides the Mountain King....
A 206km hilly course with 4 catagorised climbs. 2 Cat2's and 2 Cat4's. 16pts available today.

196 - Rujano, Astarloza, Capecchi, Vaugrenard, Voigt and Knees(SKY) attack
187 - Brambilla(COG) joins up
185 - Ponzi(AST), Marcato(VCD), Caruso(KAT) fail to bridge
178 - BMC bring it all back together

35 - KoM4 Izagirre gets points ahead of Voigt and Sioutsou

11 - The final climb is monstered by Posthuma to keep the race together.
3 - Zaugg hits the front with Bennati on his wheel

Only two points isn't much, but the gap to Mollema isn't that big. He can do it!

fortunately that was only stage 6
but it really has showed me how hard this is going to be...
Not to put Mre down or anything, but i gotta say 3KoM's is much much harder than 3GC's or 3Points...

I don´t thinks so.. Once you will find yourself alone in BOD and all points are yours. But in GC it isn´t that simple..
Edit: I don´t want to say that it is easy but you know...

@juan
i should specify --- with Voigt its harder! Hes strong, but REC68 means limited attacks. Low SP and ACC so he cant just duel from a break. And going solo is near impossible all day on hard...
probably wont be another stage till next week tbh. Got an essay due 25th, and again 1st so i will try and find time but promise.
If its a long break i will entertain you with the story of the greatest KoM battle i've ever known (its not this one yet)

A tough day for Voigt today in his mountains quest
But at least he will be happy to know that Bennati won the stage |
