Ventoso, Guerao, Merino Criado, all will be for sale, potentially for a part exchange with Intxausti.
They can't all be too expensive

Having played an important role in the development of Merino Criado a couple of seasons ago, the option of a permanent move is certainly on our radar.

Kittel out?
Rumours are spreading that Marcel Kittel could be available this coming transfer season - and many German squads are said to be interested. He has been at Vesuvio a long time, but as they cut down on TT fillers there may only be room for 1 of Kittel and Australian Michael Ford. Kittel may be better, and more useful on the flat - but he is also more expensive - and this could be crucial in opening the door for his exit.
Time will tell if he does indeed leave the team!

Swings and roundabouts as Vesuvio look to lose a TTer
In a transfers twist, it seems that Marcel Kittel could be staying with the team after all! However, this does have consequences for Michael Ford.
Vesuvio have made it clear that only one of the pair will be kept, and new rumours suggest that Ford is the man on the verge of an exit. He has a strong time trial which could be very valuable for some teams - especially those interested in the Australian region of the world. And what he lacks in other areas, he makes up for in the fact that his wage is only 50,000!

Schlecks reunited
The big transfer news at Vesuvio HQ is of course the news that Andy Schleck has signed for the team. If it feels like a long time since Andy Schleck was involved in the ManGame then that is because it is! His last race came back in 2011 where he finished 13th in the Giro di Lombardia - a race won by Frank! A frustrating 2012 followed as Domina disbanded at the start of the season, consigning Andy to watching on TV - with the occasional ride in a Vesuvio team car from time to time!
He is here to improve his Grand Tour record - and we are confident that this is possible. One Grand Tour win simply isnt enough for Andy, and he would love to move ahead of brother Frank in the Grand Tour win stakes!
GT Record:
2007: 5th, Giro
2008: 3rd, Giro
2009: 88th, Vuelta
2010: 1st, Vuelta
2011: 2nd, Vuelta; 6th, Tour
We weren't too keen on Andy's Vuelta win at the time, as it denied our own rider Intxausti!

2013 Squad
Andy Schleck
Returning from the cycling wilderness, Andy Schleck is our new standalone leader in the Mountains. He will of course ride a Grand Tour, along with some smaller races. He returns a notably better climber than how you last saw him.
Frank Schleck
He may be past his peak - and no longer the team's best rider - but he remains one of the world's best puncheurs. Can he continue his Liege-Bastogne-Liege winning streak?
Mwangi Samwel
The Kenyan super-domestique climber is so good that he rode to 15th overall in last year's Giro. He will be a vital support in the Mountains.
Ben Swift
The top sprinter starts his 2nd season with us with a strengthened support team. He won the Tour of Qatar last year, but is still looking for his maiden Grand Tour stage win. He will lead our team at one of the Grand Tours this year.
Marcel Kittel
A very useful rider to have - he will provide the power for the TTT squads and sprint trains throughout the season.
Thomas de Gendt
Also a strong all rounder, De Gendt's flat and time trial skills will be greatly used.
Ben Gastauer
Ensuring a future for Luxembourg in the hills, this year Gastauer will get his first race leadership opportunities.
Dmitri Medvedev
The definition of a pure climber, he climbs mountains and hates everything else. He is far from useless though - winning a Tour de Suisse stage last year.
Maciej Paterski
He podiummed Fleche Wallone last season and most hills this season will see Paterski riding on them.
Toms Skujins
The Latvian has a strong future ahead of him in the hills, and he will start to learn from the best this season alongside Frank Schleck.
Pedro Merino Criado
Returns to us as a key part of Swift's leadout after previously spending a forgettable year of development with us. He should make more of an impact this year.
Marcel Barth
The German time triallist is a mainstay of the squad, TTTs will be his home.
Steven Caethoven
Joining us from Bouygues, he had good experience of being a leadout last season for Roelandts, and continues in that role this year for Swift.
Richie Porte
A boost to our TTT squad, there is more to come in future from the Aussie.
Matea Kvasina
Of the last 12 Grand Tours, Kvasina has rode 10 of them - and finished in the Top 45 in GC every single time.
Philipp Walsleben
Loaned in from Sram - Riboxx, he is useful in the time trials but also becomes our leader on the Cobbles.
David Claerebout
The Luxembourg version of a pure climber domestique.
Riccardo Zoidl
On loan from Sauber Petronas, his attributes are suited to supporting our team leaders in both hills and stage races.
Alex Kirsch
In future he will become a very useful GT support rider with 78 TT, and he makes his Grand Tour debut this year.
Sebastian Einsle
The Luxembourg support rider took his first Pro win last season with a stage of the FBD Eire Tour.
Thomas Koep
On loan from Rothaus Aegon, experience will certainly be gained this season for him!
Bob Jungels
Future Luxembourg TT champion? Lets hope so, since we have sold the current one.
Moreno Hofland
On loan from Team Gazelle, the Dutchman's development can now get right on track.

Those are his before-training stats
It could be 84 MO, it could be 85. Youll just have to wait and see!

In 2013, Vesuvio-Accumalux will ride on Corratec bikes, as designed by fintas. Based in Bavaria, the German company are a suitable fit for our team. Not only is Germany a neighbour of Luxembourg, but our squad will also contain 4 German riders this season: Kittel, Barth, Walsleben and Koep.

Schlecks plan Grand Tour assault
Andy Schleck will make his return to ManGame GrandTour action after a frustrating 2012 season without riding any Grand Tours. The former Vuelta winner will line up for the Tour de France, in what is slated to be the greatest Grand Tour in ManGame history given the opposition he will have to ride against.
Meanwhile, former Tour champion Frank Schleck has his eye on the Vuelta, and the many hill stages on offer. There is a clear opportunity on those stages to gain time on the elite Spanish climbers who may be involved in the race, and while he may lose time to them in the mountains or time trials, it will be interesting to see how high in GC he can finish. It will be the first time he has ridden the Vuelta in the ManGame.

It'll be awesome to see Andy in the tour, and even more Frank in the vuelta. The latter can really be more than just a "Dark Horse" if things goes your way!

The dark horse tag suits Frank nicely in GTs!
Titles to defend as season begins
Back in 2011, Frank Schleck won the most recent edition of the Badaling International. Bakelandts, Cunego and Boasson Hagen were all defeated that day - the challenge to do the same again will be a tougher ask for sure.
Squad: F Schleck Gastauer Skujins Paterski Claerebout Zoidl Einsle Koep
And last season we got off to a flying start by winning the Tour of Qatar with a Ben Swift. The target this year is a stage win, and we will see what else can follow - a season long battle with Daniele Bennati and others is sure to commence, at least we have a lead out train for Swift this year.
Squad: Swift Merino Criado Caethoven Kittel De Gendt Barth Porte Jungels

January
Vesuvio were ever present at the front of the Tour of Qatar as Merino Criado and Caethoven immediately gelled with Swift, with helps from the likes of Porte, De Gendt and Kittel through the race.
A 2nd place in Stage 2 was good, but the best was saved for Stage 5. We went to head with the sprint train of Milka, and took advantage of the fact that it was their first train of the race to out-maneouvre them - and an early move by Van Avermaet could not stop Ben Swift taking his first win of the season!
The Brit then secured 2nd place overall in the final stage 'prologue', while Kittel took 5th place to ride to 9th overall.
Barth, Porte and De Gendt all took Top 30 finishes, and that, paired with an aggressive 4th for Frank Schleck in Badaling International, means that we are back in familiar territory - top of the ProTour division.
The sprint team now head to Paris-Nice, as Frank Schleck tackles Tirreno, and Andy Schleck makes his debut for the team in Catalunya

Swift hits 8
After only two win last season, Ben Swift really stepped it up this year and became Vesuvio's highest points scorer, thanks to taking 8 wins from across the season.
Tour of Qatar, Stage 5
Paris-Nice, Stage 2
Giro d'Italia, Stage 1
Giro d'Italia, Stage 6
Giro d'Italia, Stage 12
Giro d'Italia, Stage 21
Tour of Norway, Stage 1
Tour of Tasmania, Stage 1
The race of the season was clearly the Giro d'Italia, where Swift came away 4-4 in the duel between Italian rival Danniele Bennati. The highlight of course being Stage 1, where not only did Swift win to take the Maglia Rosa, but leadout man Steven Caethoven came home behind him in 2nd.
Much of Swift's success this season can be credited to the key signings of lead out men Caethoven and Pedro Merino Criado. As well as some positions gained after leading out Swift, Caethoven also managed to win a stage if the Tour of Romandie. Meanwhile Merino Criado's best effort was a great 2nd place in a stage of the Vuelta.
