That's still better than having your neighbours show up because they want to watch tennis with you when in fact you have been watching porn for 3 hours: p (never happened here, for the record)
I always wondered: the screaming in tennis, is it psychological against their foe or is it something that makes them play better?

It's partly psychological, but it also helps a little bit since you tighten your core muscles. It's the same reason you see them do it in shot put, javelin, discus, etc.
By tightening those muscles you gain a small edge.
There's a fine line between "psychotherapist" and "psycho the rapist"

Damn you Lachi. I am petitioning the new thread. Pedro is angry that you have wasted a potential 2 pages of the hard work he put into his third Cafe.

In one way it's a good thing that Sharapova isn't playing. I was watching the semi final between her and Azarenka and my neighbours must have thought I was watching porn for three hours.
When your watching Sharapova, it qualifies as porn, even fully clothed. She is hot.
I was going for Sharapova too. Not a Serena fan, but she's American so I will.

You cant ask this an American, you know, their silly patriotism and that stuff. Every American is better than the rest of us oversea. Too bad they are all british, african, italian and hispanic in fact
Btw. that is the reason why i will never travel there.
I am glad that Pedro insanity is over, but too bad i had no chance to say mine, i will keep it in secret for the next edition. This one from Lachi is epic though.

Mostly Hispanic. The plus is the food. The negative is that I didn't pay attention in my spanish classes, and therefore I can't understand a word my roomates say.
I met a smoking hot African-American girl today, so I'm sold on them.
And I'm only partially British. Mostly Irish, then German, Dutch and a tiny sliver of Scottish. I think Scottish counts as British, depending on who you ask.
And to avoid controversy Avin, you are saying you will not travel to the US because of our arrogance. You had the bit about our ethnic diversity sandwiched between the arrogance part and the "I will not travel there" part, implying that the ethnic diversity was an issue, which I doubt is the case.

Oh, you are right i mixed it to the one sentence. I mean i would not like to travel there mainly because of that arrogance and fact that they would ask me million questions to know if i am not going to destroy USA with my secret underpants bomb. Actually only thing i found interesting and worth watching there is the amazing nature, i am not much to the sightseeing something not older than 200 years and made only from glass and metal.
On the other hand, no problem with ethnic diversity for me, people can learn one from another and we are all worth the same in my eyes.

We have buildings that are older than 200 years. They're probably not much to look at though. The American Revolution was more than 200 years ago, and there's lots left over. There were Native American tribes that carved their homes from the Mesas in the south west of the country which might be cool to see.
I think the more interesting sights to see would be south of the border, particularly the Aztec and Maya. The Inca is most interesting to me, due to the mystery. One day I'd like to visit Machu Picchu.

My friend has returned from Peru 2 months trip recently, fantastic stories and pictures, certainly a place to visit.
And i was joking a bit about sights in USA, i know there are places worth to see. But you know, we had universities built when native americans were carving their homes.

I would not let American arrogance stop you from visiting the USA, Avin!
There are definitely some that are like that, but its a common misconception. I have been to the States many times and I have never really come across any weird people like that. I remember my hockey team was just talking to this really hot hotel worker for like an hour, no problems at all.
In fact during my travels to the States, I have met some of the nicest people I've ever met while travelling. Plus I think you shouldn't really focus on negative things like that. Like I said there are plenty of nice people, and fun things to do, worrying about some arrogant prick you come across, shouldn't be the reason you dont go somewhere
Oh and, go to Hawaii.

One place you should never go though is Canadia. All they have are moose, mounties, maple syrup and Montreal.
I saw a bumper sticker a few days ago that said "Nuke their ass, take their gas." There are deffinitley stupid Americans, and you often don't have to look far to find them.
I hear Canadians are so nice that it's considered rude to lock the front door of your house. I lock my apartment door and my room door
I've been to Kauaii. I think that counts as Hawaii. The best part was a helicopter trip around the island.

I'd like to go to the USA once, but I'm still deciding what city/region to visit: New York/East Coast or the West Coast, with California and I think Seattle. |

Thats the contaminated stake excuse. They just want to mess with their opponents concentration. Also, I've heard it covers the sound of the racket hitting the ball and that gives an edge.

There are idiots everywhere, and I don't think a whole population can be considered as idiots (or arrogant, or cowards, or ...).
Problem (if it's one) is that Americans are more important (not as in "more numerous" ), as they can vote and elect all sort of cynical idiots to rule the number one nation in the world (the Reps candidates all looked scarier than each other) with potential consequences.

My parents live in a quite village in the countryside, yet they lock every door, car, everything at night (when not in the day time).
They get mad whenever I tell them that I sleep with my front door not locked. Maybe I do this because I feel I could be a bigger threat than them toward a potential burglar.

Loud idiots are sometimes the best, because then you know who to avoid. RE: Avin - I think it's a bit harsh to judge Americans based on the loudest and most stupid. They've made some terrible contributions to the world but they have also made some great cultural contributions. And the landscape is of course amazing. Not saying it's necessarily a place you have to go to but stereotypes generally don't apply to the majority of a population. If I knew any naughty Slovakians (or any Slovakians at all for that matter ) I wouldn't judge a whole country on it. There are some dicks in Britain but most of my friends are here as well - it's the same wherever you go. |

I got a 5 on my Communism presentation that I had to sit up until 3.30 in the morning to prepare...
A little walk to the 7-11 a block away at 1.30 kept me going |
