First off they don't have to improve anything as long as people buy it. Next, why would they deny themselves money? That is beyond ridiculous logic and you should know that. And I think it's better for them to be equal with those consoles in game sale than get no sales,, no? This logic makes no sense.
Game like Fifa make little use of the gamepad. They threw a radar on there, helps a little. But otherwise, it's a port and the touchscreen is used for nothing. They did it. What's the difference between that and say NHL?
The main market for the Wii U is not sports fans. It is "casual" and "family" gamers. NHL is not a major attraction to those people.
Who says its Nintendo stopping the game. Perhaps the developers don't want to go to the effort of making the port. Save the time and put it into the other console versions.
But even Fifa does use the pad. Its a small thing, but it is there. There is not necessarily a difference between that and NHL, but i know Fifa will have a larger budget and can afford to make the small adjustments.

Porting a game doesn't seems to be a problem when it's 360 and PS3.
Nintendo's whole point was to get back core gamers. I guess that didn't work, but still. It's no more efamily centered than the new Xbox integrating JKinect into everything now is it?
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy
Thats because both systems are incredibly similar, with large bases of "real" gamers.
No, but Xbox has already got a base of "real" gamers locked in thanks to the Xbox and the 360.
I know this was Nintendo's try to get back the real gamers its lost since the N64, but it needs to do a lot more to re-build its reputation as "real" gamers console. All its mucking about with the Wii and DS is great for making profit of kiddies and families, but not normal gamers.
