I think he was waiting for Hesjedal, he's ready.

Sorry, can't remember where I read it. But Evans' injuries especially have been well documented. Shouldn't be hard to find on google

He's just a beta release for now

I have read that even Cancellara said Klöden has now captain,
additionally i also read in the forum that many of you believe Klöden would be too weak.
Klöden will finish the Tour de France up front, at least on the podium, provided he does not crash like last year.
I promise !
You do know that it's not very assuring when Doping assures us someone will do well

I heard a lot about him suffering with illnesses and injuries which derailed his early season, but nothing about him suffering with anything since May and couln't find anything on google. I wouldn't expect the early season injuries to hamper his tour |

With two broken ribs and a perforated lung, Maarten Wynants won't start tomorrow.

The Tour is clearly not a race for Rabobank

Neither for Rabonbank or Garmin. Both teams had great mountains teams and now they have none for the GC. Also, tomorrow probably an explosive rider will take it. My bet will be on Samuel Sánchez. |

Normally when you expect the race to be boring as shit it's not, and when you expect fireworks there will be nothing at all until the very end, so I'm expecting a boring stage, but really I kinda think that this tour might pose for some very exciting ridings.
The top guys wanting to go for podium has lost time, and on paper there is just one outcome. 1. Wiggo, 2. Cadel, 3. Menchov... And when you really expect that to be a given then guess what - It's not.
I have Nibali for the race, and possibly Chavanel for the jersey tomorrow. Also we should expect to see some frenchies go tomorrow. The likes of Voeckler, Pineau, Peraud, Pinot, Rolland and so on. I expect it to be very entertaining. And the reason for that belief - I won't be able to watch it. So expect big things.

I wonder if that was from a crash other than the big one? Freire was getting dropped with Farrar before the big crash happened. If so, he did well to ride for even longer with those injuries!
---
Txurruka is also out - collarbone. Verdugo in doubt aswell for Euskaltel

Apparently he suffered those injuries in a fall in the first kilometers of the race! And I've read now that he has 3 broken ribs, not 1. No wonder he felt bad and was dropped early...
Edit: Nope, definitely 'just' 1 broken rib for Óscar. Someone at biciciclismo needs to improve his English.

Don't expect Voeckler for tomorrow. He's really in pain.
Pierrick Fedrigo is my vote! |

No-one has mentioned him, but I reckon Scarponi will go out on the offense early and maybe cause a little nervousness further down the road. |

He was in the crash today. Might take a day or two to recover, unless the injuries are even more serious.

I saw that, but I also saw that he was the one pacing the second group over the line, and he didn't look bashed up - I think he was just held up rather than injured?
The crash would also give him even more incentive to attack, naturally

I have absolutely no idea if he's injured and to what extent, but note that in most cases cyclists' performances are impacted by the injury more the day after than the day of the crash.
And the worst day is usually 2 days after the crash (so, Sunday)

Verdugo's leg injury is really nasty! (difficult for the basque rider to continue)
Also Erviti is out for Movistar and Gutierrez in doubt. |
