Congratulations to Red Bull. Great ride from Gerrans.
Phew. Still in front and the points jersey seems secured, but as I feared, we weren't able to keep a strong guy away from nearly reaching Rolland.
The last stage is quite the same, and the downhill run-in should close some time gaps. But still, Gerrans, Navarro or any decent mid-stage attack could easily win the overall.

Decent stage, can only hope that Roche will do something similar on stage 6 though it will probably end with yet another breakaway win.

I should of had a rider with Gerrans, since I only win stages through breakaways Congrats to Smowz

Should I?
Could I?
Would I?
Oh go on then....
Brilliant stuff from Gezza and also Veloso too for setting it up, a shame Gerrans didn't quite get the leaders jersey but that would have been greedy.
Roche and Monfort are obviously going to be dangerous on the last stage and probably Froome too. But with 5 riders in the top 25, I am hopeful of keeping as many as them up there as possible.
EDIT: Gerrans does have a chance of snatching the overall on the last stage I guess.

Congrats to our Aussie-friends at Red Bull, brilliant ride there!
Bobridge did also quite well, though I hope, he may have a chance to slip into GC's Top-15 again But if he can defend yet another Young Rider-jersey, I will be happy as well..

Congrats to Smowz! Brilliant stuff from Gerrans there!
And with Maisto still in the Top 10, I'm satisfied too.

Congrats to Puma, Rolland did everything right here.
I am really happy with 5th and 17th. Hopefully these performances are enough to keep me up above the half way mark in the overall. Now all I need is a strong performance at Hainlete...

Oh my...
That is the most beautiful win so far for me.
Very unexpected and pretty tight in the end
Thanks to all guys for the congratulations, that really means a lot to me

Finally some points for Oz: 5th in final stage for Bennett plus 16th overall and best young rider for Bobridge. It could have been worse
Thanks for the great reports and congrats to all stage- and overall-winners!

Oh god, what a terrible race and not even a stage win despite having the best man in the peloton. Here I thought momentum was on my side, but the lottery in this version of PCM is insanely random. Roche should be grateful if I'm going to renew his contract - it might be better to use his salary for better domestiques, though we will see what happens in pcm 12..
- Congratulations to Puma and Red Bull for a good race, and Ferrari for that last stage win

Had hoped for something more to be honest. 8th is fine and 3rd on final stage is a nice addition. Especially as it is the best neo pro results for me this season.
Milka Vittel might be happy to see their two Czech riders in the break and finishing 3rd and 11th. First one will be an excellent stage racer in some seasons. |
