Amazing stage from Alarcon, proving himself as the best climber on the Continental Tour, that was a great stage from him! And Larsson did extremely well too, he has a good shot at top 6 now, and if that comes true, it will be a great surprise.
Now I can only hope that the guys are up for it on the flat stage, not allowing any breakaway to win by a significant margin, and then Alarcon will hopefully just hold on to his overall lead on the time trial.
Great report Smowz, definitely worth waiting for! |

Good performance by the team, too bad VDB couldn't quite match the burst from the other favourites in the sprint but this will have to do.
Great win by Alarcon, he is quite hard to do anything about.

Alarcon does it again ... Great work by Brad Armstrong, but on the other hand Anton was unable to show himself to the camera and Colorado crashed again.

That should be enough for Alarcon to take the overall. |

Good result, 3 man top 25. Dont really know how good Lövkvist is on TT comparef to the others with the same time, maybe he can take some places. |

You forgot Rob Ruijgh in the top favourite list.
I can`t see anybody else winning here.
I told you guys.
How awesome is this. Must be a +5 day beating Rujano and others.
Hopefully he can keep a top10 but with some better time trialists just a few seconds behind it will be hard, but nevertheless much more than expected.
And this after I was at first disappointed that no Rothaus rider was in the break.
But it just proves how weak my team is here. 7th overall but by far last in the team rankings.
Alarcon did very great today, probably the race win for him. But will be a nice battle for the podium spots now. |

Roturn, I have to admit, seeing Ratiy beat by Ruijgh is dissapointing :-p He really had a great day ;-)

That was a horrible stage for us, both Larsson and Jaramillo going down. Shame about Larsson, he looked set for his best result so far this season. Luckily, Alarcon came home safe, now I'm crossing fingers he defends his lead on the time trial, no doubts the report from the time trial will be a nervous read
On a positive note, Lucas showed his brother how to sprint |

Much better attacks than yesterday for Oz Nice move.. late attacks on such profiles are always dangerous in PCM11.. congrats to Vansummeren and Laidler for taking a nice 3rd for our team!

This crash really ruined all sprint hopes.
No real luck for me in the sprint finishes this season so far. No matter if they have a possible lead-out or not.
Hope this will start to end as soon as Vantomme is starting his season.
Anton and Larsson with bad luck here. Luckily Ruijgh was on the right side. |

Also, that was a clever move from Schädlich. He should take the points jersey now. And congratulations to Vansummeren and CountArach! Is that their first win this season? |

Seems like 6 of my riders went down in the crash.
On the bright side, we secured the KoM jersey, which i'm very surprised, and happy to win.

Nice to see a Bpost rider winning.
And I feel sorry for CSC and Aker here.

Great that Lövkvist and Bjelkmark was on the right side on the crash,I feel sorry for you who had less luck.
Both of them has a chance of a good place in the GC, top 15 and top 10. |

This stage he did show on the camera atleast ;-)
Well raced by Schädlich, I had suspected Flügel would do that, not him. In theory it should give him the green jersey, as he should win the TT...

If Larsson isn't hurted from the crash, he should put up a great fight to Schädlich for the win. Dempster is also a good shot for the stage win. |

FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON!!! Woo!
That stage literally could not have gone better. The wi and Poulhies in 6th ahead of much better sprinters. De Greef moving into 15th overall.
Vansummeren has achieved both of our 2 podiums so far this season and he costs just a fraction of what Vanendert/Gautier do.
