No, that can't be right. Nygaard denied the rumours a couple of days ago!
... oh, wait:
Nygaard denies Leopard name for Luxembourg team
Nygaard confirms Leopard name for Luxembourg team
Nygaard denies merger with Radioshack
Nygaard (well, Becca, but you get the point) confirms merger with Radioshack
I remember one more example where Nygaard "corrected" Fuglsang who had described the design of the kit before it had been revealed. As it turned out, the kit was exactly like Fuglsang had said it would be.

Good things though now there will be a new World tour places free.
I can't understand why Cancellara is still in that team. |

The positive thing is that RadioShack´s WT spot is taken by another team. They have the strongest team for GTs now, let´s see what they do in 2012.
Anyone knows where Voigt rides next year?

If he rides next year. He wanted to renew with Leopard, but now the situation is totally different of course.
I can`t see him in any other team actually.

Don't think so, because Astana's best 15 Riders (of 2010 & 2011) with contract for next season (currently) haven't enough points to get a new license ... |

One Danish site says that Team RadioShack will continue to exist - but with a different sponsor.
I'm guessing they misunderstood the press release, but I don't know for sure. |

If Cobo wins the Vuelta I thing that Geox will be an WT team and the other place should be for Lotto-Ridley or Skill |

Thats what I got from the article on rtl.lu before they published the statement by Leopard...

Well let's look on the bright side: Leopard's jersey can only get better next year
Anyway it'll be interesting to see where the portuguese riders will be next year.

Leopard announced on Monday that RadioShack and Nissan are joining the Leopard Trek WorldTour team as sponsors for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. Leopard will continue to hold its existing UCI WorldTour License and the team will be re-branded as RadioShack-Nissan-Trek Professional Cycling Team as of next year.
"As we stated in January, 2011 would be our apprentice-year," said Team Leopard owner Flavio Becca in a press release. "We intend to improve upon our results. In modern cycling you cannot move forward without strong sponsors.
"It is in this respect that today is a further milestone in the development of this exciting young project, which has gained the trust of two well-established players in the world of professional cycling. I continue to believe in the bright future of our athletes and have high expectations for the performance of this team. This is a major strategic move for all partners involved."
Time trial world champion Fabian Cancellara as well as Andy and Fränk Schleck will continue to lead the team in its plans for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. While the complete roster has not been announced, they will be joined by Amgen Tour of California champion Chris Horner, two-time Tour de France runner-up Andreas Klöden, and national champions Matthew Busche, Jani Brajkovic and Nelson Oliveira from RadioShack as well as Robert Wagner from Leopard Trek. The team will continue to be based in Luxembourg.

Skil Shimano WT? Seriously? Won't happen. Astana may get one if Vin ogets a contract for 2012 (wanna bet?).

Feel sorry for the likes of Hermans who left Radioshack to go to ... Leopard.
Surely more riders than have been named had valid contracts with one of the two teams? Sucks for them if theyre no longer welcome, especially with this development coming relatively late in the transfer season.
@Gustavovskiy Paulinho was rumoured to Saxo Bank, perhaps some of the other Portugese riders will follow?
And I still dont think GreenEdge have enough top quality riders to deserve WorldTour. Right now they are like the BMC team without Evans.

Yes flashevy,
I think we have all read it by now. But from the article I have read before (which has now been edited) it occured to me that Radioshack will stand as a team under a different name loosing both, Nissan and Radioshack as sponsors, and Bruyneel.
Just after i looked on the site again and saw the official statement by Leopard. Still I dont see a full merger. Until now its just the leaders that followed Bruyneel plus Busch and oliveira. A natural move...
