Other than I'll say, Andy, Conta and Evans, who else do you see being up there?
One of the HTC boys? I could see a suprise from Velits or Martin....probably Velits though.
Oh and I bet Contador kicks at the 9% section on the final climb. Whether he drops anyone, we shall have to wait and see.
I would be surprised if Velits or Martin can stay with the heads of state tomorrow. They might have a remote shot at a top 10, though.
Especially considering the fact that both have worked their asses off for Cav in every sprinters stage. |

The first 120km are flat. So I skip the first 2 hours and tune in at 14:30
There's still an intermediate sprint just before the first climb you know so 13:50 for me |

I think tomorrow we will see who has a chance at winning the Tour. Some GC contenders will definately lose time and have to change their objectives for the remainder of the Tour. At least that's what I think. |

Indeed, it's likely that a group containing some of the biggest favourites + some outsiders will arrive together though I don't hope this will be the case yet again.

I have my money on Evans for tomorrow. He looks to be in outstanding shape and should be able to pull off a win.

People are always misguided when there are plenty of short hill finishes in the 1st week.
They always think Evans is great, but the fact is Evans is always great on short hills. It doesn't say anything about his shape in the hard mountains.
We'll see tomorrow but I think if Contador or the Schlecks attack. Evans will lose time for sure |

And now the million dollar question: How bad is Contador's injury?
Does he lose half an hour, ten minutes, or nothing?
Judging by the last few days I'd say 2 minutes.

He says that he will be on the defence himself, but the grin on Bjarne Riis' face when the reporter asked "What are you looking the most forward to for tomorrows stage" - pretty much gave it all away. Contador is in SUPERB condition, and Bjarne Riis is just awaiting him to wipe his ass in the Luxembourgian diaper tomorrow.
I estimate Contador takes about 1min on Evans and Schleck who will come in together, with Basso, Gesink, Frank, Cunego and Sanchez a little bit later.
Looking forward to see what De Weert can do. He seems pretty good.

Was it the same nervous grin he gives whenever he's nervous and embarrassed?
This grin?

I'd say Basso could very well go on the podium this year. He is fairly anonymous. Not one considers him for the win, and imo he has the strongest lieutenaint in Szmyd, so why not?

Gesink? Same Gesink that wanted to abandon this race? He could be feeling beter than he was feeling on Super-Besse, but there is no way he will finish with contenders group tomorrow. I see him losing 3-4 minutes and arriving with guys like Ruijgh and/or De Weert.
Also, why everybody is so excited about Evans? He has become hilly classics rider first, so he will be a very happy man, if he doesn't lose any significant time tomorrow. |

Evans is our only hope in case Clentie's knee injury is as severe as it seems.

He's been looking better and better for every day. I don't think he'll manage to keep up with the Contador and the Schlecks, but I don't see him losing three minutes tomorrow.

Was reading on Marca that Samuel Sanchez would have an alliance of some sort with Contador. Don't know how that could work out though.
