Great win by Serpa, that's exactly the kind of performance we need from our man! I feared Pellizotti would had got some seconds back after his loss on the mountain stage, so two perfect stages for Pirelli - the win seems possible for Serpa now.

Top 10 was the goal at the start of the season - so Top 20 is dissapointing. Outside that it's mediocrity. Not quite there yet. 
In a season with very few wins, great to see Cassidy make it there. The whole way by himself as well! |

Big ride that from Kohl. Seems that kind of move sometimes pays off - sometimes it doesn't and the rider blows. Interesting to see always which it will be. |

Nice timetrial by Serpa, 3/5 goals completed despite our not so fantastic spot in the overall rankings. Mayo taking 13th will certainly also give us some much needed points - we will take everything we can get!

Yeah Pirelli and El Al have no helmets and so look like they have top of heads chopped off.
I tried to avoid those types of screenies but could not really avoid that one.
Very very pleased with the performance of Siutsou who but for an extraordinary attack by Kohl may have made the podium which would have been the 2nd best performance of the season by a Red Bull rider. He gets a share of the mountain prize and took our 11th stage win of the season which was very tasty indeed. Will have scored something like 150 odd points from this race maybe more I am not sure - which is pretty good going for us in HC company.
With the rankings the big news for me was Lopez Garcia's non perfomance - he is the type of rider who can go with the big moves in the mountains but didn't quite have the gas on those days and of course lost lots of places on the TT - it has proved a waste of 11 valuable race days really for Santander. Funnily though some of the damage may be restored when the Slovenia result becomes evident as Lopez Garcia is lying in 2nd there I believe.
After a quiet race UBS got going with that Kohl attack, Benfica with three guys in the top eight will have done well and I think Bimbo Nutella did okay taking the opener and 9th GC + 11th GC.

Teams
It continues to be rather tight, well except at the top. Unfortunately for Wiggle, its hard to cope with a team who pulls off dominant stage race performances in first Burgos, and then Slovenie. Or first Slovenie, and then Burgos - depending on how you look at it!
SL Benfica are up to 3rd, and appear to have a decent gap. But theyre the sort of team to not do much, and then have 1 big race - so still consider them right in the thick of the battle. And 4th-13th is still separated by just 500 points. Jumping up to 4th are Santander - despite Portugal not being hugely successful. They are narrowly ahead of Petronas, UBS and Bacardi, with 100% Me now 8th - not a mountains team, so not active.
Bimbo are scoring well to go 9th - but with them now in the Top 10, it means Pendletons are out of it. Not long ago they were looking good in 3rd, how things can change - and no doubt will continue to do so. Other notable changes see Pirelli into the Top 20 in 18th, and YouTube now up to 23rd, with Pellizotti having woken up.

But how does this all project in terms of the end of the season? Well, Pendletons need not worry just yet - theyre still on course for 3rd place, with Bacardi joining them as automatic promoters. Its similar for Santander, just the other way. They may be up to 4th for now, but still work to be done. It looks set to be close all the way down to the wire, and based on the projections, any of the Top 15 are within touching distance of getting enough for promotion.

You have seemingly raced Ventoso in hilly races, and flat sprint stages. He needs hilly sprint stages one feels! |
