This patch has no inpact on the DB, no matter if pcm daily or other. Just install the patch, then play.
BUT, NEVER synchronize your save if you are NOT playing with the official DB. |

At least the sprint problem is fixed. But therefore the trains are building at 4-5km and not at 12km ;(
I am not sure about hills yet. Haven`t played this stages. |

But I think that's why this is just a beta patch. When they was able to make working sprint trains, then I think they will be able to increase the km when it's needed. |

Patches of Cyanide are always called beta. I bet they change it to official tomorrow without changes. |

The trains are beautiful. I'm riding the Tirreno right now and the top10 are all the correct riders all the time |

The patch doesn`t change any DB relevant parts. Just AI and gameplay. So you can continue your career with every DB you like. Just don`t synchronize.

I'm sorry to say that sprint are still an absolute mess. Trains are formed WAY too late and not alot of structure. I'm sure if Cyanide could make the trains start at 12 km like they usually do, sprints will be fixed.
It's fucking stupid though, Why the hell did they decide to make the AI only create sprint trains with just 3,5 kms to go? Why suddendly change from the 12? Cya-logic. |

With trains starting 12 km from the finish, the lead-out man would be empty at 4 kilometers and fade away with the sprinters on the wheel. Better to have too late trains than to early.

It seemed to work alright in the other versions though? At 3,5 km's there's just way too little time for the teams to organize.. You'll see Cavendish sitting almost in the middle of the peloton with 4 kilometres to go and for example Renshaw at the front. Only at 4 km's Cav realizes it's a sprint and thus starts searching for Renshaw's wheel but most of the time he doesn't make it up there.
If you think 12 km is too much, then surely they should make the AI form trains from atleast 6-7 km out..
I've had some pretty messed up results already

No, in PCM09 the lead-out man often failed and the sprinters dropped back in the peloton. Yes, I think trains from 6-7 km would be fine.

yeah i have a similar problem to what many people are having which is that the riders take to long to react
ive just done my first race so i did champs elysees and all seemed fined just x8 till about 20km cos the sprints is all im bothered about!
i had my train getting ready at 12km out and at that point the climbers were all stil at the front and i thought oh god please no as vinikourov was leading out contador but luckily at 10k they stopped and headed back!
the rest of the pack had just one long train with riders and all the big sprinters somewere in the peleton but later than i expected at about 4-5km i see napalitano and mcewen spead away and other riders like cavendish a renshaw dean and farar ect ect it was late but atleast it was hepening . the result was pretty good and realistic i would say
ill post a replay if i can but heres my top 14 riders
1.Cavendish
2.Steegmans
3.Hushovd
4.Farrar
5.A.Davis
6.Bennati
7.Dean
8.McEwen
9.Bos
10.Gilbert
11.Popovych
12.Boonen
13.Oss
14.Monfort
all in all pretty good just took a while to react
