At least Chamorro is constant... Constantly mediocre, however. Landa is a beast and definitely CT's best climber, no question about it. But getting beaten by Elissonde and especially Olivier isn't a sign of quality. Of course, a 5th place on the Ventoux brings some more points, but we expected him to get some *big* points every now and then. Well, he doesn't. He's mediocre (for a 79 climber, obviously, not absolutely speaking).

Some more Butenko consistensy with two sixth places in the final Berlin stages, but most importantly it's great to see Sundbaum on the GC podium Von Folsach and the others were unable to do anything in the final three Suisse stages, but it's nice to see former rider Nerz taking the win for Ziggo.

Bardet top of the rankings after his Giro and Guatemala wins but that's most of his race days gone. Enjoying it while it lasts.
Grupo Argos - Quala already have a 1000 point lead! Looking good for Croatia.
CT battle looks a lot more exciting Latvijas Balzams - Olainfarm less than 100 points in front.
U23 looks like a 2 horse race with La Fundación the favourites.
Had a quick look at my predictions, they are not miles off which is encouraging.
Thanks for the ranking update Bikex

Not much changes from last month. We're still in the midfield and it doesn't look likely that we'll be moving up much this season.
Thanks for the update Bikex

Thanks for the rankings update!
Our main issue is obvious when looking at the individual standings - none of our riders is even in the Top 20 in CT (to be fair, Chamorro would be there when adding his WT points). Although depth scoring is looking pretty nice (4 in the Top 100, plus 8 between 100 and 200), if you want to fight for promotion, you need at least one big scorer. So I guess the goal for now is to do as well as we can in focus races, get a budget raise and then get a top-level CT leader next year. We thought Chamorro would be one, but it's probably his backups that make him too inconsistent, almost always beaten by some weaker climbers...
There's a fun fact, though: We did two WT races so far (Tachira, Guatemala) - and in both of them scored 232 points Given that Tachira is four days longer, the points from Guatemala seem to be worth more though - bad news that we had selected the former as a focus races
Concerning the U23 squad, we can't be overly happy, either. Cruz is the worst placed of all 73 sprinters - which however is partly due to him sharing the flat races with Espinosa, who's our second best rider on the U23 circuit.
Ollero has been disappointing so far, unfortunately. He's been performing way below his stats in most races - his best scoring so far actually comes from a CT.2 race... Still a couple of races left to fix that, but I guess I can't expect a good development step this offseason ^^ Which isn't that bad, though, given that he's only 21

Not a great month for us, but we didn't have a ton of high value race days available. Hopefully we can rebound a bit.

After a relatively strong start to the season we seem to be dropping off which is a little disappointing but plenty of time to get back into form again! We haven't actually been racing that often recently so I won't be concerned just yet.
Verona 3rd in the CT Individual Rankings just needs to keep doing his thing while we need others to start providing a bit more scoring.
Thank you for the update

Apologies for a small delay in reports. We are finally starting July with an appetizer, while Tour goes live tomorrow. |

Sagan 6th in Asmara, just like last year. Weirdly enough, that's three results in a row the same as last year: Majka 2nd in Guatemala and a Spaniard 30th in Mount Fuji.
I guess I don't have to point out anymore that no other BP rider made the top 50 in Asmara, our depth scoring is basically non-existant.
Can't wait for the long TdF videos!

Great start for Pinot in his home GT, nice win to open the race
But what a stupid time loss by Herrada on S5, he'll need some kind of a miracle already against a leader who doesn't show any weakness so far. So let's see how Majka does in the role as first chaser now
Thanks for the videos, they're great to watch

Not only did we fail to get the stage win for Danny, but we also made Pizarro work for it, losing a potential GC. I really hate this race.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Solid start from Crochet at TdF sitting in 6th and leading the U25 by 35 seconds from Å imek who looks like his only serious rival at this stage.
Herklotz looking very strong.
Thanks for the videos and results dominox.

What a ridiculou stupid time loss on stage 5- break wins just for the sprinters of the peloton to get for some weird reason the same time as the break, and then the split puts 2 minutes into Herrada wtf!!
Jeez what a horrible start.. I hope the AI will treat him well and he is still considered the favourite and will not be an also-ran who just gets sidelined by the AI
Gratz to all winners and thanks for the excellent coverage

Great coverage, dominox!
I'm very happy that Majka was on the right side of that unexpected split. Also nice to see the team working hard for their captain.

The break winning two flat stages out of the three in the first week of the TDF is very frustrating.
I think maybe Kittel or someone fell on stage 5 because he was a well placed at first but ended up 59th and maybe that caused the split. Sympathy to the GC riders caught behind it. Also not sure why we weren't chasing on Stage 5.
On the upside that was a beautiful team win on Stage 2, Ulissi is actually trying for the first time this season, Gesink is sitting 10th on GC ,and by some miracle we are leading the teams competition. Pretty sure those last 2 things won't hold so would rather all our luck was focused on Marcel.
