After what has most likely been the quickest draft round in 21 and Done history, let's take a look at the final outcomes of this draft round.
134 | jandal7 | Hugo Toumire | 135 | jaxika | Johan Price-Pejtersen | 136 | df_Trek | Gijs Leemreize | 137 | redordead | Lane Maher | 138 | FreitasPCM | Alexandre Balmer | 139 | AbhishekLFC | Erik Bergstrom Frisk | 140 | Shonak | Michel Hessmann | 141 | valverde321 | Mattia Petrucci | 142 | Croatia14 | Sean Quinn | 143 | valverde321 | Hugo Page |
With the first Pick jandal7 took one of the most promising French guys in Hugo Toumire. He's got a bright future ahead of him and looks very versatile, even doing well on the track at this point. Jaxixa with the second pick took a very safe bet on Johan Price-Pejtersen, a guy who looks to be on track to become a classy time triallist and a good WT-domestique, though he lacks in other areas of cycling. A hot favourite for the u23-ITT WC this year.
Then we got two Strava-motivated picks: The first of which is Gijs Leemreize picked by df_trek, a 20 year old Dutch guy from the Jumbo-Visma development program that has shown some promise by crushing Philippe Gilbert's Strava KOM on the famous Redoute in a single day. Next up redordead's pick Lane Maher, a formerly pretty unknown american u23-freshman that first and foremost is a cx-guy. He made headlines though by climbing over 1000.000 feet in a 60 hours ride in support for the Black Lives Matter movement. That epic ride equals over 3,5 Everests, and on top it served a very noble cause.
Next up Alexandre Balmer picked by FreitasPCM, my pick of the bunch for this draft. He is an extraordinary talent on the road that still focusses on MTB right now, but he'll no doubt be superb on rising roads. I'd talk about him as the guy having the biggest star potential of all picks here. Erik Bergström Frisk has been taken by Abhishek, the Swede may be one of the biggest talents of his country. His unusual career path via BikeAid may prove to be a very good choice at the end. Shonak then picked Michel Hessmann, probably a safe bet and a great allrounder from the recently very popular Jumbo-Visma DT-Team.
Finally valverde picked up Mattia Petrucci, a rider almost everybody agrees will ride in the World Tour in the next couple of years. As a Freshman he already took a podium on the u23-Lombardia, and it's almost certain that if FDJ doesn't pick up their talented u23-Team climbing puncheur then at least one of the teams with Italian focus will take the chance on his skillset. I picked up Sean Quinn myself, a rider that surprised all with a 10th at the 2018 climbing Junior WC. In his first u23-year he already finished 6th at the BabyGiro, and together with Vermaerke is considered the top prospect at the WT Factory Hagens Bermans - Axeon. At the very end valverde took another pick with Hugo Page, which is a very good FDJu23 prospect (another one for valverde). He seems to be a good time triallist with stage racing potential and I'd consider him as one of the riders with the most straightforward path in terms of developing to a very valuable WT-rider.
That's it for this draft, we'll have another one either in August or September, depending on how well racing picks up again.

Draft 21.12.2020
Sign-Ups open!
Racing in 2020 comes almost to an end, many teams are set forr 2021. That means new youngsters are on the board and up for grabs in this new episode of 21 and Done, this time coming with a December edition. Which youngster impressed you the most in the shortened season to get a chance in your squad?
Timeline for the June Draft
- Draw of pick order: 19.12.2020
- Start of the draft: 21.12.2020. 21:21 daily time
- 21 hours on the clock for each pick
- 2 rounds of drafting
- Sign-Up is open from now on
- New Paticipants can take two extra picks after the June draft has taken place, in which they can, make up for some ground they lost missing the kick-off draft and later ones.
Rules are the same as claimed in the opening post:
Draft System:
- Different system for kick-off draft than for future draft
- Randomized numbers (1-1000) determine draft ranking
- Each draft new draw of positions
- High pick in last round -> lower chance of high number in next round (lower range to reach up high f.e. 1-700)
How to draft:
- Your are allowed/wanted to post your choice in here yourself
- Draft lists are possible to send in if you can't post in time
- Make clear for everybody who you drafted!
Draft failures:
- If you post an invalid rider will be skipped
- If you post not in time (and didn't hand in a draft list) you will be skipped
- People are welcome to point out invalid drafts/order issues
- invalid drafts are allowed to be cancelled in hindsight even if unnoticed earlier without compensation
-> If you missed/failed your post, you can draft as soon as possible even though somebody else is on the clock
Eligeability:
- 21 or younger at the exact draft time
- male gender
- Pcm.daily time is the official game time
- Not the draft beginning time, but the time when you make your pick decides about whether a rider is eligeable or not
- No fictional riders are allowed
The draft will start at the 21st of December 21:21 daily time. |

This time we continue with a double draft. If you wish to still join as new GM, please tell me asap so that I can put you in the draft
The draw started again with df_trek and jandal on the worst odds by far. Still they managed to get excellent results, that in the process nobody was able to beat. Jaxika came in 3rd having the 3rd worst odds, making me seriously question my process of whether I should give people that have been luckier in the past even more of a malus for the draw. On the other hand Abhishek and valverde321 came in last despite good odds. At least this time they have the compensation of starting the 2nd Round, as due to the pool of new influx of talents we have a double draft.
Anyway, the same procedure as every time. Let's see who's able to pick the best new WT-signings or rising talents:
That leads us to the following draft schedule:
1 | df_Trek | 2 | jandal7 | 3 | jaxika | 4 | Shonak | 5 | Croatia14 | 6 | redordead | 7 | FreitasPCM | 8 | AbhishekLFC | 9 | valverde321 | - | 10 | valverde321 | 11 | AbhishekLFC | 12 | FreitasPCM | 13 | redordead | 14 | Croatia14 | 15 | Shonak | 16 | jaxika | 17 | jandal7 | 18 | df_Trek | |
The draft will start at the 21st of December 21:21 daily time, with df_Trek picking first, this exempt time will have 42 hours for his first pick due to the late draw. Remember that you are allowed to skip a person if the person does not draft within his/her 21 hours of draft time. Due to joining late, valverde321 is allowed to pick one extra rider after the double draft. |

I only have a few guys in mind, and a huge exam on the 23rd, so if everyone wants to not pick any off my shortlist please
Im saying this now, and maybe no ones even heard of my guys and they'll end up never being relevant at all anyway
