jandal7: Thanks for looking in. As i said above we basicly dont have the riders to compete in the nationals, so it an expected miss.
Ellisonde was the only riders in the race, so not much tacticks i could use. In denmark we had many riders but all weak on cobbles, they just couldent make a diffrence.

Campeonato de España (Road)

Salamanca – Salamanca 196.4 km

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/0-0_zpsdbnbnmu5.jpg

Summary: A break-away of 9 relative weak riders get away, the peloton continues in a slow pace, and mid stage Pacheco decides to attack. Without wasting too much energy he joins the front group. The favorites start attacking from the peloton. Pacheco decides to attack before they get contact with the front, and nobody is able to catch up, Pacheco wins the Campeonato!

Gabicce – Gabicce 240.5 km

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/1-0_zpsdg4kb4ec.jpg

Summary: This is not terrain for Furlan, relative early he can’t hold on to the peloton, but Aldegheri gets in a break of 10 riders. But this is a very tough race, and the break can’t hold the peloton away, with about 30 km left the break is over and it is between the favorites. Sonny Colbrelli (Bardiani Valvole) is very strong today, taking a clear solo win.

Finally, an NC in the team! The hard work pays off Smile

P.S. : I like the riders in positions 2 & 3 in the Spanish NC a lot too Wink

Tamijo
Yes that was great, so lucky they started attacking too late, Pacheco was completely drained crossing the line.

You must like many Spanish rider, with Moviestar as spo.
Nb: at this point I don't like any world tour riders

Summary: A small break of just two riders, they stand no chance to a fast peloton, with many good sprinters, on this flat stage. With just 8-10 km to the line, a group attacks and the peloton surrender. The race was won by Tom Boonen.

Norsk Mesterskap (Road)

Stavanger – Byrne : 211,9 km

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/0_zpszc6el7fm.jpg

A morning break of 3 riders, with the favorite Lars Petter Nordhaug (Belkin) gets away. The peloton slows down, and Frederik Wilmann decides to pull the peloton, not to let the break get too much time.
With about 50 km left Alexander Kristoff (Katusha) attacks, Edvald Boasson Hagen (Vodafone) and Sondre Holst Enger counters, the trio get up to the front group.
Alexander Kristoff sets a high pace, only Hagen, Enger, and Nordhaug, can hold on. Later Nordhaug attacks again, a bad idea now he can hang on to the front. The stage is won by Kristoff.

1/7 Stage 1/8 Innsbruck – Kühtai 165,0 km

Innsbruck:

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/Innsbruck_zps75h83e8y.jpg

Rasmussen: We are in Innsbruck for the first stage of the Tour of Austria, heading for very tough uphill finish at the “Hors catégorie” Kühtai ski resort.
Innsbruck is located beautifully between high mountains in the Inns river valley. Archaeological evidence shows that the Innsbruck area has been constantly populated since the Stone Age. The name (Inn Bridge) date back to the Roman “Oenipons”.

Innsbruck:

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/mariatheresienstrasse_innsbruck_zpsnnqyyylx.jpg

Pre-race startegy: We expect that Elissonde could have a good GC in this race, so the strategy is to do everything to help him, only if Lovelock-Fay or Bøchman has exceptional good legs, they might try something on their own.

Profile:
i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/0_zps9ajo4nla.jpg

Roster:
Anton Grøn
Frederik Wilmann
Kenny Elissonde
Lasse Bøchman
Mitchell Lovelock-Fay
Morten Høberg
Sondre Holst Enger
Yves Lampaert

A small break of 3 riders gets away in the morning; it is very unlikely that those riders can make it to the finish, on a stage like this.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/1_zpsjl8mtua7.jpg

The break is reeled back in and the next thing to happen is that Eduard Vorganov (Katusha) attacks on the last hill before the final climb to Kühtai.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/2_zps1rq7zuuh.jpg

At the foot of the Kühtai, the favorites speed up, and the peloton explodes, with 10 km to the top the favorite group is down to 24 riders, the group is led by Igor Antón (Liberty Seguros), We have got Bøchman and Elissonde in the group. Vorganov is alone in front with 1’55 to group Antón.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/3_zps2o2fosyz.jpg

With less than 2 km left Elissonde attacks, only Mattia Cattaneo (Vini Fantini) and Haimar Zubeldia (Liberty Seguros) reacts.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/4-1_zpslalenket.jpg

Eduard Vorganov wins a solo victory with 1’37 to Mattia Cattaneo. Elissonde manages to get a podium in front of Zubeldia.

2/7 Stage 2/8 Innsbruck – Kitzbüheler Horn 161,0 km

Rasmussen: The Caravan have moved from Kühtai back to Innsbruck, heading for another tough uphill “Hors catégorie” finish at Kitzbüheler Horn, a monster climb of 10.1 km, with an average of 12.7 % and a max gradient of 22,5%.

Kitzbüheler Horn:

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/k_horn__zpsndkcmyr5.jpg

In 1180 the Margrave of Istria, acquired land on the south bank of River Inn’s, and setup a market town with moat and city wall, today’s Old Town of Innsbruck. Innsbruck became the capital city of Tyrol in 1429.

Albrecht Dürer Innsbruck (approx. 1495)

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/durer-innsbruck_zpstcl1upwb.jpg

Pre-race strategy: The Strategy is the same as yesterday the focus is on Elissonde’s GC.

Profile:

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/0_zpsldwg30zm.jpg

A small break a 4 riders, just like yesterday it is unlikely that they can win a stage like this. We decide to let Mitchell Lovelock-Fay attack and join the front group, to put the pressure on the other teams.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/1_zpso2u08x86.jpg

Getting close to the Kitzbüheler Horn climb, the break is caught; it is now up to the climbers to fight it out. Kenny Elissonde feels good, and with 5-6 km to the top, he moves to the front to maximize pressure on the competitors.

i358.photobucket.com/albums/oo24/jonta3/2_zpsk1gdjkax.jpg

The pace set by Elissonde is too much for most of the riders, but Daniel Navarro (Cofidis) attacks. Now only Elissonde, Zubeldia, Cattaneo and José Serpa can keep up. With just a bit more that 1 km left Elissonde sets in the final attack, this time no one have the power to react; while snow starts to fall on the Horn, Ellisonde takes a solo win.
