To be fair though... that would be kind of hilarious.
Sagan won't go to Sky, there is no way he would get the Tour team built around him that he wants.
Yeah thats so true, if they wouldn't do it for Cavendish they ain't going to do it for him
Except you forget Sagan doesn't need a team around him. He can do it all by himselves + depend on other teams to pull in breakaways. And he can get someone like Eisel to put him in a good spot during the 1-2 last kilometers.
I don't see a problem.
They build the team around Froome so he will have even more problems getting stage wins, you saw how frustrated he was in several stages when he lost all his team mates at the end and had to do the work himself, i almost think stage wins are more important for him than green jerseys atm... and he is nowhere strong to win a bunch sprint, his only motivation for going to sky is to go for the classics and money.

Sagan does need a team around him, as no one wants to ride him to the finish line (except on mass sprint stages, but then Sagan is beaten by top sprinters like Kittel or Cavendish) so his team has to do it. Sagan has complained that Cannondale wasn't good at this so it will be highly unlikely he will be happy at Sky, who only care about winning GT's and won't waste riders to real in a break-away that form no threat to the GC and don't care whether sprinters survive hilly stages or not.
Of course, if he goes total Hagen/Thomas style, the Sky train will be pretty unbeatable. |

Van Staeyen and Vanbilsen to Cofidis while Ahlstrand and Bouhanni already signed looking good so far for Cofidis
I like the idea of Roche allot more than Sagan

There goes Roche's career for the next 2-3 years. Says he could go to Trek. Could be good.

Navarro to Tinkoff wouldn't be too bad. He is a great helper, and he is motivated to help Contador.
Dunno how i feel about Roche going to Sky. He hasn't been to impressive in this season, so perhaps not a bad idea for tinkoff to let him go

Navarro sucks....I haven't really seen anything from him in ages, what should change that? Then rather Rein Taaramae
Present:
Tinkoff-Saxo - AG2R - Colombian riders
Past:
Francisco Mancebo - Illes balears - Carlos Sastre - Kelme - Robbie McEwen

I Believe Daniel Navarro have performed very well in his Cofidis-time.
2013
1st Vuelta a Murcia
5th Overall Critérium du Dauphiné
9th Overall Tour de France
10th Overall Vuelta a AndalucÃa
2014
8th Overall Vuelta a AndalucÃa
9th Overall Critérium du Dauphiné
10th Vuelta a Murcia
a rider that can end in the top 10 of the Tour de France is a very, very good rider, IMO. So a signing of Navarro would be almost perfect |

There is no way Navarro ever will be in the top 10 in the Tour de France again, unless tons of people crashes. He is just another Jesus Hernandez
Present:
Tinkoff-Saxo - AG2R - Colombian riders
Past:
Francisco Mancebo - Illes balears - Carlos Sastre - Kelme - Robbie McEwen

Navarro will be used as domestique and not as a leader. His goal won't be Top 10 ever again, but helping other (stronger & younger) guys. There's a huge difference.

And how many crashes and abandons did that require? But he wasn't only lucky, he showed outstanding form and was very good at this Tour.

Hence Garmin/Trek. Both aging squads
Garmin aging squad, really? They have less 31+ years old riders in their roster than the average of World Tour is. And most of their most valuable riders (Talansky, Martin, Slagter, Langeveld, Navardauskas, Dennis) are below 30.

I should have been more clear. I meant in terms of climbers/GT riders. Trek also has Stuyven, Nizzolo, Arredondo, Felline, Van Poppel, Zoidl etc.
