The random nature of these races is not helping me sleep at night either.
At least you are more likely to have a decent race! I've been sat here waiting for Luxembourg, with a much greater likelihood of having a breakaway defeat me.
then next year you should accept anyone who wants a luxembourgian team so you've an excuse to add more riders and get some decent AI.
Flawed logic! Adding both a new Luxembourg team and riders makes it more likely I get outbid. The answer is to just add Luxembourg riders (Although I havent actually added any for the 2014 DB ... yet)
I didn't say the new riders had to be good enough to challenge you, just good enough for the AI to make it a proper race, you could always add lots of sprinters and cobblers then make it a Mountainous NC.

didn't know the topography of the country, figured there must be one if the Schlecks can climb so well, but looking at it you could always make a hilly route in the north of the country and conveniently forget to add any good puncheurs.

Well, also a similarly crap Russian National Champs. Still, I doubt that'll be my concern next season.
I feel really bad for you, 3 seconds, that is nothing on the long course. At least you will not have such a hard thinking about certain rider leaving the team.
Congrats to all the winners though!

Luxemburg seemed to acctually be a logical NC, then that happens
Delgado might just have secured himself a new contract, I had originally planned to let him go to free agency, but might sign him now (and maybe sell him to one of the venezuelan teams). Based on the venezuelan flag you could possibly get a really kick-ass jersey, so might keep him only for that

Well, that's balanced out my anger with the fact that SN was screwed over by the AI just as much.

Strange things happening to Schleck. We'll never know what the AI was thinking.
I like PCM 2013 in that regard; next season we'll have more information on tactical AI choices.

My guess is he didn't want to pull them back to him and they weren't prepared to work with him but I've no idea why he didn't counter the attack or attack to close the gap. That said with him coming 5th he may well have been exhausted from the chase.

Heymes I keep the jersey, with the rider I least expected to take it!
Terrible tactics by Vesuvio not to chase, forcing Schleck to exhaust himself to chase across. But then genius by Frank to get Heymes to attack and let the others think he would chase it down.

I'm confused. Heymes rode for AirBaltic, right?

Yeh, Heymes has been loaned to ANFreeman's team for both of the past two seasons, to get from Level 1 to Level 2 initially, and then Level 2 to Level 3.

Aaah, right; got it.
That's actually quite funny then. The AI makes Schleck screw up but, without knowing it, actually does a good job for his team.

What a pity. Abreu was "close"...
BTW I didn't have the oportunity to post a banana for Haddi, the new moroccan champ!
PS: I hope I won't have to release him because of the new salary...

I'd also like to mention that he's African - and my team is African...

Even when two big teams (who together have more riders on the road than all other teams combined) are not in the break, they just let the break win...
Tsmoha and the other reporters are doing a great job producing all these reports and it's an insult to their hard work that the majority of races are absolute rubbish.
Also the value of NC jerseys goes down, because quality is no longer a requirement to get them.
Is there a PCM version of which we are sure it can handle these types of line-ups? If so, might it be an idea to use that PCM for the NC's next year?

I don't understand why people are so upset with weaker riders taking the NC titles.
If we want only the the top riders to win, why have these races to begin with and not just give the jersey to the best rider from that country?

Agreed. Nationals irl are never always won by the favorite or the best rider. And this is more fun. Value is only attached by managers, and some will value having the NC regardless of who that rider is
