Custom, sorry
Well, I downloaded the citigroup pack, then changed all names to 0201_whatever so it's this instead of "Mopei". Then change nationality in Fast Editor, start career and choose custom team
EDIT: I know see you weren't really asking, just making fun of my spelling mistake meh

Why this way btw? Why not just make a new sponsor, so that Mopei can enter the game as well either(I changed their names to Mapei anyway, so I will just close my eyes when their jersey comes close, so that it's just like it's the real Mapel jersey )

I thought it was easier. I edit my save to keep most teams intact anyway. Contracts for Movistar, Sky... last to 2020 minimal. I don't really like those ugly Mopei shirts that the game brings in with now fake sponsors |

I find a good idea for a save but then have a change of mind the next day.
Like last week I started with Cannondale, Movistar. Now I have started with a custom team (Team Carlsberg-BBC) which is a Danish/British team. But then I can't decide whether I want to be WT, ProConti or Conti team.

Why is the start list to races in career mode the exactly same every season? like giro GC riders are always: Uran, Pinot, Quintana, Nibali, Kreuziger and others and Vuelta is the same every season and TDF. |

I just lost a stage because I could not see the break away riders. The stage had 4 laps at the end and the break was 10 minutes ahead and riding in the middle of the peloton. I had a rider in the break as well but when the attack was announced it was too late for me to react so I came second in the stage and also the race.
I know it is not possible to program everything right, but why does Cyanide have to mess up everything? |

I also suffer from lack of motivation quite easily in this game. After one season you might aswell just send all the same riders to all the same races with the same training schedule.
On PCM11 I had one training schedule and a set of races for sprinters, one-day riders and GT-riders. It didn't matter if I signed a new GC-rider, he was sent to the excact same races as the last guy.
FM, on the other hand, never gets boring. Cyanide, get a grip! Or; try to get bought up by SI

Really? I enjoy finding new goals for my riders who have achieved quite a lot already. To make it interesting I also insert some new talent all the time. (competition) |

So, I wanted to start a career, did a few races, and realized it's quite pointless to start a long-term career now.
So, I decided to do something strange. Really strange. I didn't call the .cdb I'll use 'ProjectWTF' for nothing
Behold, PCMdaily Cycling Team: (No, the name is not the strange part yet, look better)
Erm... yes...
A strange stat-matrix project, I guess. Just made up some rules(f.e. 3 leaders can have 1 85 skill, 4 74 skills and rest 63 skills), and chose some talents to edit, to keep the fun. (instead of making new guys, which would be bad for my motivaiton).
Weird? Yes. I was bored.
I wonder what the team can do, every guy has some important weaknesses, some have huge, some have smaller)
I will only ride the WT races and maybe I'll do a few 2.HC races to get in form for important races as well.(f.e. Driedaagse De Panne for RvV)
All guys have potential 1.
PS. The stats do not really reflect realistic specialisations, f.e. Herklotz can't ride on cobblestones, Enger is better on hills, Kelderman deserves 80 TT, etc.
It's not realistic at all in fact, but it might be fun and kills some time before a big DB.

That is very weird, you have too much time on your hands, I haven't even opened an editor but once on the new game.

Yes. He's actually quite a talent, yet still a bit unknown
But well, it's not like I was accurate, Enger is probably a bigger talent than Ewan, but it's just for the idea

Quite a talent? He's the possible next Cavendish. I'd call that something more than quite a talent myself.

But possibly even more complete than Cav himself. |

Yeah, but so is Van Poppel
Could be, although I have my doubts, considering he is Dutch :L
However for sure will be interesting which one of Van Poppel, Ewan and Coquard will achieve most success and be the most dominant.
Ewan for me edges it just slightly ahead of Coquard, he's so similar to McEwen as well, but we'll have to see. However Coquard is just as immense, very difficult to distinguish between both at all.

Van Poppel is mainly a smart sprinter, good positioning and good in following wheels. He won't outsprint a lot.. more like a Rojas than an actual top sprinter in the making. Although, he is 19, so you never know |

In case this is still the career discussion thread:
My rider was race leader and I simulated a TTT. Guess what, my riders droped the race leader. Cyanide never stops to amaze me. |
