That could've gone better, where was our sprint train?
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Wesley just didn't have the speed left because he had trouble with all the hills, I guess. Do you see sprinters like Cav & Greipel, or even Degenkolb anywhere?
Quite impressive, isn't it?

Not a bad result for the team, too bad Wesley could not save more energy for the finish. |

@Daggen – Thanks!
@Ollfardh – We were way too tired to set it up unfortunately. Tried to lead Hoogenboom with Van der Valde out, but it didn't work out.
@Miguel – He was doing really well.
@krisa – He was.
@Jesleyh – Maybe I was a bit too harsh with him, you have some points. Anyways, that's how turned out to be, we'll have to live with that.
@juszta – Thanks and maybe next year.
@mvhoogdalem – Quite rough for the guys, hard pace all over the hills.
@sutty – Thanks!
romaniangoat – Thank you!
Our next race is going to be Volta a Catalunya, I hope to come up with a preview at the least tomorrow.

Thanks for all the comments!
No GC ambitions for us here, no peaking riders. Instead, here we are trying to get our Ardennes squad involved, most of the riders here are going to ride there too, as well in Pais Vasco. All hilly/montanious here, so no sprints, but if it turns out to be a mass-sprint Bányai will be our man.
Many good riders here, let's just go through the main GC contenders. J-Rod is one of them, he is the biggest name here. Next to him there are plenty of outsiders, LLS, Andy Schleck or Richie Porte can always win, as well as Pieter Weening. It's going to be an open, exciting race for sure.

Thanks for the comments guys, good to see you back again the_hoyle!
One of the easier stages of this race, but it'll still be pretty hard with some tough climbs in the way to the finish.
A lone fighter ahead of the pack at first, Rory Sutherland didn't wait for others, just went alone. Later however, he was joined by 5 others, creating a strong breakaway.
The pace back in the peloton wasn't quite high though, so even the weaker riders could keep up. The lead of the escapees grew bigger and bigger with time, the peloton realized the danger and upped the pace significantly. That's where tune into our live coverage.
All of the Spider dropped from the front group except for Verbier, this is not looking good for us. Our counterpart must be the break though, as they are looking certain to make it with 20km to go, they have a lead of 3 minutes, which should be more than enough.
Here they are, working together, it seems like they can battle it out against each other. Sutherland is probably the best sprinter in the group, but nobody can predict the final outcome, it depends on so many variables.
It's really close under the Flamme Rouge, Nuyens, Feillu, Kessiakoff and Sutherland are still there, the winner will be one of those names now, for sure!
Rory Sutherland takes it home for Saxo! Great performance, heroic stage! Kessiakoff finishes 2nd (there you go Daggen! ), while Brice Feillu comes in 3rd. The pack came in 1'23 behind the break, our group was even further down.

Spider of the Day/DS Reaction
Terrible stage, no SotD points. It seems like we're gonna have to try our luck in breaks and attack like crazy. That will be hopefully exciting for all! |

Hmm, very bad stage.
Well, no GC ambitions, so it isn't that awful that we lost time. In fact, it might be easier to get away in attacks now that we're back in the GC.
