No worries sutty
Apologies for no update tonight. Similar problems to stage 1. Got up until the last 15km, and suddenly the game went very laggy, and crashed with 3km to go. Will try again tomorrow morning and hopefully it will work. I don't want to sim the stage...

Simulating can be a right pain in the arse sometimes
But then again if it keeps your story going there is no other choice |

I will see what happens tomorrow. Just disappointed, because of what happened on the stage. I won't spoil it, because it will try to do the same tomorrow

Hope it works! Sim can turn out weird (and quite frequently in injuries, even) |

Great story, 2nd place to Feillu..let's just consider Cavendish in first place then! More worried about Sagan and Boonen breathing down his neck, I hope Cavendish comes through!

@ian: yep, simming has some crazy results... Just look at the results from the ardennes classics in my story!
@jere: glad you are enjoying it! Its only the early stages, and things are looking ok. I am only worried about sagan in the uphill finishes. He has been poor in the flatter sprints. Boonen is a big unknown. Quiet one day, active the next
well good news is that i have been able to play the stage. Bad news however, there are mixed fortunes for the team... Report to be up tonight!

7th July 2011 - Le Tour de France
(Dinan - Lisieux)
The 6th stage is the longest of this year's Tour, going from Dinan to Lisieux,, and looks like another day for the sprinters. But with another uphill finish, it will be very difficult for out and out sprinters. Could be one for the breakaway today...
9km: The day's first break got away very early on, and after 5 days of working hard at the front, we decided to attack with Kanstantsin, making the other teams work instead.
24km: The presence of Kanstantsin was seen as a danger by the peleton, and soon Sky and Garmin went hard on the front to bring the break back.
45km: Everything was brought back together, so we attacked again, this time with Tony. He was joined by another large group on the road, but they only managed to get a maximum of 43" over the peleton.
53km: Again, the escapees were brought back by Garmin, so we went for one last attempt at the breakaway! This time it was Lars who attacked, and he was joined by two other riders.
68km: As the break sized grew to 14, I was certain that peleton would bring it back. RaboBank gave chase for a short while, but eventually decided to let it go.
97km: With Lars in the break, we could concentrate on objective number 1 for the day, take the KoM jersey! Lars took maximum points over the top of the first climb.
135km: With 14 riders in the break, only one point was available at the Intermediate Sprint. It was a comfortable sprint in the end, as only Peter Sagan challenged me for the single point.
156km: As the stage went on, the break built up a lead of 7'34", and looked very comfortable on the flat. However, it was a different matter when it came to short climb for the KoM sprints. Lars took 1 point on the second climb of the day.
189km: The lack of co-operation in the break did not go down well with Lars. Approaching the final climb of the day, he attacked, taking the points in the process. He got a maximum of 47" over the other escapees, before he decided to drop back.
Sadly, there was a problem with the screenshots, so apologies for that.
206km: The break was eventually pulled back with about 15km to go. Garmin and Sky set the pace, as the lead out trains began to form.
213km: Looking ahead to tomorrow's stage, I wanted to keep the guys fresh, and decided to latch onto another lead out. Garmin was identified as the strongest, so I sat on Farrar's wheel...
219km: Disaster! As we hit the final climb, I was feeling good, but suddenly a Katusha rider swerves across the road! I lost Farrar's wheel, and in the chaos, I lose my position.
221km: As the sprint starts, I get swamped by everyone! To make it worse, riders like Cadel Evans and Andy Schleck surged to the front! There wass no chance for me today.
222km: It was Óscar Freire ho took the stage win, ahead of Boasson Hagen and World Champion Thor Hushovd. I finished in 29th, along with a disappointed Tom Boonen, who had also been affected by the dangerous antics of the Katusha man.

@Ian & Sutty: Yes, happy that it worked, but as you can see... not the best outcome It is all about stage 7! It is all or nothing! I want/need a victory plus high number of points at Intermediate Sprints! I will not settle for less!

Well, I hope the Katusha rider will be banned for unawareness while riding! But I'm looking forward to the next stage!

@sutty: I'm about the play the next stage, so report will be up tomorrow... Vengeance will be mine!!
@rogvi: Banning him would be a little strong... These things happen when you aren't right at the front. Lesson learned to take control in the lead outs
