I'm thinking successful breakaway tomorrow. Probably also on Saturday.

Same here. I hope Saturday is Moncoutié's day.

Don"t think there will me a lot of succesful breakaways in this Vuelta Rodriguez want badly the time bonuses

I'd be very surprised if Katusha continues to chase the breakaways. There are no Jaca / Dumbria finishes left, where they're almost sure that he'll win. Plus, they can't spend lots of energy on that every day. It's too hard, physically.

It's Saxobank's responsibility now. Contador is the best climber in the race, so if there's one GC favourite who could use some bonus seconds atop a long climb, it's him. Rodriguez will probably just try to defend his lead from now on, by marking Contador.

+1
Also I hope for Gesink to regain time on a long climb. It seems to me that he's getting in a better shape than at the start of the Vuelta. Would love to see him in 3rd in the GC, although that'll be difficult.

Would also like to see Gesink continuing his positive progress. The upcoming mountain stages should normally suit him a lot better than the shorter climbs like today's. After his performance today, it's looking good for him I think. He could even gain a place in the GC if Froome continues to fade.

The man has been in form since Dauphiné. That's almost three months ago. A rider shouldn't, and normally can't stay on top form for that long.

Yes he is. So are Rodríguez, Valverde and Froome. Now stop bringing it up in every post, jesus dude

Only if they changed the name of the race to Tour de France, otherwise he wouldn't put in any effort or do anything.

By the way two months ago in the dauphine he said that he has improved in the time trial.

Yes, that's what he always says. Meanwhile his TT coach says andy is lying and hasn't touched the TT bike at all because he's lazy

I reckon he doesn't call the dude Jesus, given his own nickname. Pfft

I protest. It takes great efforts to go to disco every single night, and then to manage to not make too much noise when you come back in the middle of the night (or later). Shock

Exactly, some people even need to take drugs to party for so much time. Not that it'd be an unknown environment for most pro cyclists, though. Pfft

Just read stories about Cofidis 2004, will you. Much scarier than one rail of coke too much.

Also Ullrich and Vino hitting cyclists with a Porsche (Ullrich's IIRC ?) when leaving a disco totally drunk was worth it. Pfft

Or maybe I should mention Erwan Mentheour's book, telling how his brother hung up with Brest players in the early 90's or late 80's, and they used hunting guns to shoot streets lights when getting out of their parties (I don't think that happened on a regular basis though).

I guess that's another way to "shoot up"

Miguel (yep, the Portuguese wing back) was known as "El Pistolas" in Valencia for a reason. Pfft

Great climb..Burito special and top form Gilbert special. Where he ended today?
Will this year Giro was not Zomegnan Giro..but Rodriquez survived that one (Hesjedal won it..I still want to forget that part). Why not also Vuelta?

Gesink warming up..this is nice..almost like come back.
