Hilarious that the chase group managed to get caught and passed and miss out on the podium. Valverde probably would have had that spot but he still egts a top 5.

I mean, I'm not sure how to treat this. I think Pogacar would have won anyway but I think the chase group played it horribly. Not only no one followed Masnada but then when they were finally gaining gap, they imploded |

Erm… a bit baffled about what happened with the chase group today. They let Masnada go alone and then Yates ends up laughing, clearly on his worse day of the past week and still manages to get 3rd.  |

If I'm not mistaken, Merckx (MSR, RVV, LBL + Tour in 69; MSR, LBL, Lom + Tour in 71 and 72) and Coppi (MSR, Lom + Tour in 49) are the only ones to ever do it. Not bad company to find yourself in.
