No. Degenkolb was about ~2 meters far from barriers at the start of his sprint (once the video gets out, you'll see it from camera above) and finished his sprint at literally 60 cms far from them or something. Bouhanni probably wouldn't win, but he was clearly accelerating compared to Degenkolb. I don't think it was done intentionally, but Degenkolb definitely kept moving to his right there.
Stuyven 4th!

Everything legit by DegenStache. Boo-hanni complains there for no reason imo.

Very nice to see Hofland and Stuyven in the mix today. |

Neither Hesjedal nor Talansky finished within 1:45 as far as I can see.
!@#$%.
At least they can focus now on protecting one rider. But they won't and will get caught by another situation like this if there's an opportunity.

I don't usally dislike sprinters, but Bouhanni is perhaps one of the most annoying riders in the peleton. Arrogant and dangerous. So to be honest I'm glad he fucked up. |

Bouhanni probably furious he just got slapped a thousand times by that fan-tastic line of thunder sticks while trying to sneak by the right of Degenkolb...

Nah, Degenkolb rode the fastest way to the finish line. Bouhanni should have gone to the left.

Literally 5 seconds before the 2nd group caught the first one, there were 5 Garmin riders in it. WTF happened.
Well shit, looks like Martin has a few extra domestiques now...

Meh I think he went in straight line and there were simply fans clapping that prevented Bouhanni from sprinting properly in the last metres and therefore since you can't contest for the crowd you do it for your opponent |

Took Quintana a while to finally appear in the results for yesterday's fourth stage and regain his second place in the General Classification, so I would check back later once the results become 100% official.

I wonder if Bouhanni forced himself in that small space... we would probably see a crash. |

Maybe they were all sent back to minimise loses for Hesjedal. |

Yep. The space became smaller because the crowd took more of the road with their sponsor stuff, and it was a slight right bend in those last 150m so this was the fastest line. There was enough space on the left.
