McQuaid was that bad that a totally corrupt voting system couldn't even endorse him

Great news. Bye bye McQuaid.

Especially as there are options now on market with Vacs going. Flecha, Marcato or Gatto would add much needed firepower to the classics squad.

Well, when it comes to international sporting organisations and when it comes to cycling, it's very hard to trust people. But surely it can't be worse than Pat and the guy with the hand up his arse?!? So, for now at least, yay! |

Get in!
Despite the controversy, I didn't think Cookson would stand much of a chance against McFraud. This weekend just got a whole lot more pleasant!

In related news, here's very interesting article on the election, in which Vaughters explains his views.
https://www.cyclin...n-cookson/
There are some incredibly revealing passages and so I really think everyone should read this.
So, in late 2011, I invited Pat to ride in my car at the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. I figured over the course of six hours in the mountains that we could hash out our differences.
We went through many topics that day, but one always stuck out. I told Pat that the USPS case would come out in one form or another and that he should consider ways to deal with it. He bluntly stopped me saying that his sources said that Grand Jury testimony was sacrosanct and that it would never come out. He said that he would never believe athletes would voluntarily testify to USADA and that as soon as the US Government ended their investigation, the whole thing would be over. I told him he was wrong and that he should prepare. He didn’t believe me nor did he really want to hear any more about it.

I would lower down the expectations Cookson needs now to deliver otherwise nothing will really change in cycling.

I am not saying anything against Cookson but he really hasn't shown anything other than being the anything but McQuaid candidate. I hope he shuts his mouth and just gets on with the job but he is yet to show any clear vision

Not gonna celebrate for Cookson. To me it's just the lesser evil who won. |

Largely those of Africa and Asia, though it would be nice to know specifics the best we can hope for is some educated guess work in due course. |
