Team U25 - Stage 4
Kentaurus
I'm thinking we may need to talk with the DS. Why are we doing any pacemaking exhausting ourselves with that kind of firepower from the other teams.

First race fitness. No one is in shape, just do some work, log some miles, why not. I'm sending out tactics forms to riders now as well.

Indeed! He was also one the best in training, so maybe a future star? Wink

Hmm. I don't see why we had a job to relay? Wink

Also, can you put the 11-200th rider results in a spoiler next time? It's a load of text otherwise Pfft

Agreed with Jesleyh

About the screens, with Control+U you can delete all the unnecessary information and with the ’ you can delete the circles under the riders.

Poor judgment on my part, but it's early. On the results, sorry, my car has no AC and I was in deadstop traffic in 90 degree heat. Eventually I was exhausted and couldn't think straight while I was writing. Screenshots: I know, I just don't care to remove it...

Today's route is mostly flat, and the pack started off like turtles.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0007_zps60b2797d.jpg

Of course, a break needs to be formed! Theo Vimpere started the attacks, and no one bothered to stop him.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0008_zps0ee44700.jpg

Until Mark Krisa decided to change that. With a burst of speed, he flew out to go capture a spot in the BOTD.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0009_zps5e7c7a11.jpg

Thus, the small BOTD was formed.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0010_zps0b446e9e.jpg

The pack would twist around the area for a while, before finishing in the small town known as Beaucaire.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0011_zpsd5c55196.jpg

Then, the 2nd Cat. Cote de la Tour was upon the break. Vimpere took the uncontested oppurtunity to take the first KOTM points.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0012_zps809ce81b.jpg

When the pack reached it, Remi Cusin, Antonio Piedra, and Gorka Izagirre went for those remaining points.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0013_zpsc5f3f525.jpg

And Gael Kerso falls on the descent! He goes down hard, but comes away without massive injuries.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0014_zps7a4559f0.jpg

Luckily, Kerso recovered just fine. He stayed in the pack.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0015_zpsca2f1ff4.jpg

And of course, when they came back up the Cote de la Tour, Vimpere attacked again. Krisa got the chance to take second uncontested, so he ranks 2nd for the KOTM at the end of the climbs.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0017_zps20c3757e.jpg

Of course, tradition dictates that the break must be chased. Lotto kicked the pace first.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0018_zpsf8fd2b9b.jpg

Entering the finale circuit, the BOTD still held 2 minutes over the pack.
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0019_zpsabe159e4.jpg

Krisa tries to stop the gap from closing, and accelerates the pace!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0020_zps1e3dc8ec.jpg

And then Vimpere attacks! With just over 20km left, Vimpere starts his final strive for victory! Krisa, however, begins to struggle!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0021_zpsc81c48ee.jpg

Behind, the sprint train of Team U25 started to emerge! Pinoy led them ahead, and AG2R started their train!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0022_zpse4cc4c13.jpg

And then chaos! The crash in the back of the pack splits the riders in half!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0023_zps38df466f.jpg

Back in front, Hinault attacks! He surely is striving for victory!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0024_zpsada36027.jpg

But then Vimpere was caught! No more leaders out front, so AG2R, Lotto-Belisol, and Team U25 are fighting for control at the front!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0025_zps69f50823.jpg

And then another crash! Navardauskas is down with many others!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0026_zpsc7e6537c.jpg

After Apollonio started them off, the sprinters were off at a gallop! Passing before the flamme rouge, Nizzolo was in perfect position!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0028_zpsdca6bb12.jpg

Boeckmans took over the lead after the final turn! Nizzolo is behind a small margin, but is still fast!
i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y415/Nick_Thrasher/PCM0029_zps32e69276.jpg

And he holds on! Nizzolo can't reel in Boeckmans, and victory is dealt!
