Talansky beating the likes of Malori and Castroviejo. He looks like he is gaining more and more the ability to be among the best GC riders when it comes to TT. Consistently improving results.
Considering this is hilly TT, a TT which Joquim Rodriguez rode a Top 6 last year on basically similar course, I wouldn't take much from it personally.
Doesn't stop Talansky having great TT on his own as he shown few times this season already, plus fantastic potential

A quick look on CQ shows that Talansky has beaten Castroviejo in their last 4 ITTs

I guess so, although he's a very good ITT rider for his age as he has shown few times last year. Already shown decent form this year in Roma Maxima as well so he's definitely having a nice start to life as a pro.

That's just the intermediate times, not the final ones.

Last year's course was way more technical. No way Purito would top 10 this one.

Why on earth is there a camera with Caruso? Haven't seen any images from Porte yet.

Quintana! Superb.
Now then has Quintana overcooked the start?

Contador seems to be standing on the pedal 50 % of the times, even outside high percentages. Not efficient for TT business, even when there are some climbs.
Has he chosen a big ring one or two teeth too big ?
His position on the bike is not bad at all otherwise, but he seems to be extremely careful in every curb or roundabout. |

Quintana will lose it in the second part, but very well done anyway.
