Once we lose the next game I will jump to rooting against OKC if that is saving time in your opinion.

Donald Sterling, owner of Los Angeles Clippers, has been fined 2.5 million dollars and banned from the NBA for life which includes attending any events or drafts. He will also be forced to sell the team.

What i dont get is how you can just say he has to sell the team. Surely their not thatpowerful to ban an owner.
I hope i dont offend people of what im gonna say but i love ESPN First take and yesterday they spent 2 hrs talking about it. Done my heading waiting all weekend to see what they'd say about great NBA playoffs and they do that. Surely atleast spen half hour talking about the games |

I dont no about you guys but i feel for D12 what about you 547984 i think he as played is butt of this series dont you? I dont want to say it and keep bashing Harden but he is a big cause in this, not the only cause but imo D12 should not have any blame.
Howard could score 30/15 and Shaq would say you gotta give me more. I also don't agree about Howard not being able to cope in any era sure you need skill but Howard as the best physique of most big men in any era most athletic maybe. I just think it's sad as he as really stepped up this play offs has been clutcth with Free throws aswell. |

Well Dwight basically had a choice to go to any team that offered him a contract in the offseason to find his best chances to win a title. He chose to come here and this is what we gave him, but I think he knows the fact that we will be at least a contender for a few years to come. I agree that he has outperformed expectations.
At the same time, I don't "feel" much for anyone, mainly because I'm not a big fan of either Harden or Howard, to be completely honest.

The Thunder got FUCKED!!!
Rant start:
1) They stopped Durant in the middle of his free throw shot to check the scoreboard, and then he missed the free throw.
2.) When the Thunder had the ball from out of bounds, the clock should have read 3.1, but read 2.9.
3.) The Thunder made a buzzer beater game winner but it went in 0.1 after the clock ran out, if you look at #2, they should have had that .1 second to win the game.
Now they are down 2-3, and have to win 2 straight to advance to the next round.

Yes should never have had a chance with Mike Conely bone headed play in normal time. Kd has just not shown up he did not even dribble he shot straight away as he was scared of Allen.
How do you no their should be 3.1? |

Your posts aren't very clear and your post doesnt make it obvious that you've actually seen the replay.
That said, I've also not heard anything about not enough time being on the clock, and I've even looked on ESPN so not sure where he said the analysts are agreeing with him...

Have you actually heard the comments that were made? You viewing this as some over-reaction leads me to believe so.

I have read it and i also know that almost whole society in USA had same thoughts about black people fifty years ago and maybe half of them (old white males, if there are some of them still living in united states of immigration) still has it. It just cant be said, because now it is complete opposite, from extreme to extreme. Word simply cant think we are beating the black guys still...
DS was for sure grown up in this manner, so this is his world view. I see 2,5 million fine for his opinions as discrimination too, while i completely disagree with what he said.I would just ignore him and spit before his feet, asi would do with every racist fuck
I still view it as over-reaction. Pop singers are showing their vaginas to kids in USA on the stage, NSA is spying private citizens of European Union and man is fined for saying what he thinks (in private talk). I am so glad i live far as i can from this pathetic and hypocratic country

Any thoughts/comments that a particular race of human beings is undervalued/below another/different in any way I can't stand the only reason people think so i due to environmental conditioning when they were brought up to see another race as unequal, when in reality anybody who studies human-being can in fact see an equal between races.
Anyway back to actually basketball can't see the rockets having a chance while Harden is playing like a SH*! and with Dallas going real strong i do think they could beat the spurs with a big push from Monta Ellis leaving the door open in the west for Clippers I hope |

I have to give my input for the DS situation.
He obviously said this on private confines, but as he is tied to the NBA, the NBA reserves the right (obviously) to give him a lifetime ban. Why? In today's over-politically correct society, anything that you DON'T give punishment to will lead to repercussions, like being sued from African American rights groups, etc etc. However, I don't think it was this one incident that justified the ban and fine, but rather his prior actions, idc if the NBA denies this.
Let's face it: Every victimized group in history has led to oversensitivity, it's happened in history.
My only problem with this is that you have basically set the bar for future cases. What if some other owner that has been perfectly respectful/nicest in the league with no history gets drunk and says something that was recorded in a similar nature to Sterling's comment...and although he wouldn't deserve a lifetime ban, you'd have to give it to him.
Anyways, rooting for the underdogs as always.

I somewhat share these views. While the NBA isn't exactly his employer, the NBA still has right over what he does with the Clippers and they dont want him being a part of their image. The monetary fine is the cost for the damages the NBA may have/could still face, and it was a fairly obvious decision to ban him from the NBA as well in my opinion.
After these comments were made, if they didn't ban him, things would spiral out of control for the Clippers fast. Players would likely boycott, the fans would likely boycott and who knows if Sterling would sell or not. He seems like a guy that might hold on to something like the Clippers for as long as he could, no matter his image, and that was probably a fear for the NBA. If he kept hold of the team, he would singlehandedly drive the franchise into the ground.

OKC has a 16 point lead at the half trying to avoid elimination. They are actually playing as a solid team tonight, hoping they can keep it up!

I agree with everything you say here. And it's not like he held a press conference for this. It was in his own home. it's free speech.
