Well we finally managed to get a rider in the break today thanks to Tejay Van Garderen but the pace caught up with him eventually.
And Gary Sutton finished a creditable seventh place on the run in to the line

Saramotins/IAM Cycling, Devenyns/Omega Pharma Quickstep, Lindeman/Vacansoleil, Garcia/Cofidis, Kessiakoff/Astana, Kohler/BMC Racing, Georges/AG2R La Mondiale, Kreder/Garmin-Sharp and Ulissi/Lampre Merida have built up a lead of 6m 2s

Its Sky Procycling who are leading the charge from the peleton

Over thirteen minutes behind the peleton these riders will spend the rest of the day hoping that they make it inside the cut off time

Dehaes/Lotto Belisol has a fell in the peleton and now has the lonely chase to get back in touch

The break was finally caught by the Sky led peleton and almost immediately another four riders try to gat clear, they are Sanchez/Belkin, Martinez/Euskaltel, Dupont/AG2R and Serpa/Lampre

DISASTER – A touch of wheels in the peleton takes down three riders including Sutton/Team Novo Nordisk

Meanwhile back at the front Sanchez has got 45s lead

Well what can i say, in a blink of an eye we have lost out top ten GC placing. Gary was making his way back through the field after collecting bottles and a moment of indecision from a Cofidis rider see's him hit the tarmac.

Its up the teams that are not represented in the break to do the chasing and at the moment its Saxo Tinkoff and Belkin who are doing most of the work
