We just don't like time trials

After a frantic start to the stage with lots of attacks the race has finally settled down with five riders up the road with a lead of 3m 54s, they are Bialoblocki/Team UK Youth, Hagman/Jelly Belly, Aldegheri/Christina Watches, Lloyd/Team UK Wales and Driscoll/Jamis Hagens

There doesn't seem to be much concern from the peleton at the moment

Race radio says the lead is 3m 51s

Team Optum are being left to do the chasing on there own

Inside the final twenty kilometres with exactly 1m on the peleton

One last hurrah from our escapees

DISASTER as a touch of wheels takes down three of our sprint train, Enger, Bowden and Reyes are left on the tarmac

Meanwhile back at the head of the race only Hagman remains of the break

Three riders have a small gap on the pack as we pass under the red kite, they are Brambilla/Atlas Personal and Cronshaw and Sybrandy from Team IG Sigma Sport

And Brambilla defies the odds by coming home ahead of the others

Well unfortunately that crash in the closing kilometres has put pay to any ideas we had of achieving a good result here.
The guys are a bit shaken up after hitting the tarmac and are all sporting lots of plasters and bandages but none have injuries that are going to make them retire fortunately

Castro/EPM-UNE is clear on his own

It didn't last too long due mainly to the pace being set by Team UK Youth

Atlas Personal have now taken over the pace setting duties

The latest attempt at an attack comes from Zawacki/Hincapie Sportswear and he soon has the lead over a minute

He has been joined by Tuckerman/Airgas and Bonnin/Team NSP Ghost and together they have 58s over the bunch

There attempt comes to an end at the ten kilometre marker

The teams with sprinters begin to gather at the front ready for that final push to the line

Meanwhile at the back of the race a touch of wheels sees Piamonte and Beltran both of EPM-UNE and Faiers of Team UK Wales hit the tarmac

Brambilla/Atlas Personal comes around his final leadout man as he looks for back to back victories

But he misses out by the width of a tyre at the line as Van der Velde/Jelly Belly claims the win

The race was only three stages in length but we as a team will be glad to see the back of here and look forward to our next outing at the Tour of Oman

The peleton don't seem unduly worried at the moment

There lead is beginning to tumble due to the pace beginning to hot up behind

2m 44s is the latest time check to be given out by race radio

The peleton are now putting down a fast pace as we enter the final twenty kilometres of todays stage

Only 22s remain of the lead as the peleton closes in

Lots of bumping and barging is going on as the teams battle for that prime position

Farrar/Team Novo Nordisk is in a good position right on the wheel of Bennati/Team Saxo Tinkoff

And in a closely fought finish its Goss/Orica GreenEdge who comes out on top
