Yes, it's not ok because it's against the rules.
My point is WHY is it against the rules? Why can't every team push each other. It's a team time trial. Why can't they work as a team and give each other a push if needed.
I understand they have broken the rules. But why is it the rule in the first place. Why not just allow pushing as it's a TEAM time trial.
Then there would be none of this confusion.

It is not allowed to puch in normal races either, the penalty is just very limited. If at all given.
11.2.Pushing amongst team-mates
Each rider involved: | 11.2.1. One-Day Race 50 per offence | 11.2.2. Stage Race 50 + 10’’ per offence |

No it wasn't. My question is why is it the rule, not why have they been penalised.

Cause they decided not to allow it. Same reason why those hyperaerodynamic bikes are banned, because they chose to let the riders do it the traditional way instead of making it more dangerous. I can imagine that if pushes were allowed, we get human centipede scenes (well, sorta), where every rider has only one hand on the bike and the other on an arse. Not the stuff you want to see on TT bikes that are already hard to handle.
In a way, this incident reminded me of Porte getting food from the team car and giving it to Froome when it was not allowed anymore. You just can't get the team leaders get away with everything, they need to work for it as well.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Sore loser. Pity that small man. Cimolai didn't sign in today and the time limit cut wasn't applied also. Great job the organizers are doing there.
What was it you said about that race Riis? "Shitty" and "meh"!
Imagine some1 goes up to the FA with video of a foul at game ro something... |

Just wait till Porte gets a sticky bottle TdF or Greg uses the pavement in Flanders when told they were not allowed to. All hell will be lose now, but BMC have chosen that and thats fair.
Valverde will do everything in his might to win this race now. Tejay wouldn't be the real winner no matter what. |

I mean, it's not like people didn't complain when the riders used the pavements earlier in the year. The comissaires and UCI just decided to not give a sh*t, despite the 100% clear evidence.
I give all credit to BMC for being willing to call out the infraction. It's not their fault that the punishment doesn't exactly match the level of the rule break, but a rule break is a rule break and rule breaks must be punished or the whole concept of a rule break is broken as a rule.
Did i say rule and break enough?

How can you give credit to a bunch of riders acting like 5 year old children on Twitter like lil TJ? I simply can't see it. I didn't see no complaints from BMC when Greg won altho that infraction was much, much, MUCH more severe than the 'shoves' (lets call it that, altho it really wasn't).
Basically, its okay to break the rules when you win. When others are 'breaking the rules' (....), its not okay, so lets take to Twitter and act like when we wen't shopping with mom and said we wanted a Nutella, we got two. |

Therein lies the real crux of the problem - poorly written rules, poor communication of poorly written rules and inconsistent application of poorly written rules. Did I say poorly written rules enough?
One off season it all needs redrafting with more appropriate penalties than a typical pay-a-dollar-to-break-a-rule, then most importantly it needs to be communicated clearly and consistently applied thereafter. Easier said than done of course...
Until that time we will continue to see widely accepted cheating, with pet phrases it's so normal (sticky bottle anyone?) and occasional outrage when a rule actually gets applied.

Bouhanni this time does manage to beat Cimolai, with Impey completing the podium. Valverde went on a downhill attack along with Froome, but failed. Biggest surprise for me has to be Edmondson's 4th place (though admittedly I didn't know him very well)
In other news, the Settimana Internazionale Coppi e Bartali had its first two stages today. The morning stage was won by Pichon, who survived from the early break together with Calmejane.
The afternoon stage was the TT which split the teams in two (always interesting). CCC A managed to win ahead of Sky A. Shoutout to Sky B who came 20th with only 2 riders, beating 30 teams in the process.
And finally, what happened with the idea that almost every .1 race and higher was posted here?
