Cimolai takes Laigueglia in front of Gavazzi and Moinard:
Lobato beats Degenkolb in the sprint and wins in Andalucia:
And another Italian win for Palini in Gabon:
These 3 races basically all finished at the same time

Thomas wins in Algarve. Attack on the final climb after Taaramäe, dropped him and went solo to the finish. Taaramäe apparently also stayed in front of a reduced peloton. Astana must be pissed, though.

Damn, Kristoff is kicking ass right now. Number 3 in CQ?
Nice to see a good result for Bookwalter.
And Taaramae was my bet for the Algarve overall, so I'm pleased he seems to be in good form and setup well. |

He really found winning legs this season. Major breakthrough soon! Will he ride a GT? I remember Movistar not having a clear leader for Giro, so that might be his chance to get some wins there.

A Vuelta that has Valverde in his own team and Purito though...

I would have to look at the route again but there should be plenty of stages for him that Purito wouldnt mess with. If the usually sprinting suspects show up he could win the flat Vuelta stages as well. Valverde on the other hand is a big issue and clearly is already an issue.

Well I guess Degenkolb loves the Vuelta too much by now to pass on the chance of becoming the rider with the most stage wins in it post-WW2 waaaay before he retires

Valls wins the Green Mountain stage!!
Ahead of Van Garderen with Majka next I think.
Valverde, Pinot, Arredondo, Hermans, Meintjes, Van Rensburg etc. should come within the top15. |

Valls - like WTF? We have seen pretty much F All from him in four years or so and suddenly he kicks TVG and Valverde's butt. Though TvG was nailed on here so big upset for me - still difficult day on the next stage so should be interesting to see what happens (even if we cannot watch it!)
Notice Nibali did his out of form attack really early and blow up thing. Fuglsang looks like he was nowhere as well - time for some letter writing soon Mr Vino!

Surprisingly, Valls taking the Green Monutain stage at Oman, with Valverde losing once again, and Van Garderen 2nd. Looks like Nibali attacked with about 5 kms to go, but was caught and then dropped with 3 kms to go, he lost 2 minutes and a half to Valls, still not in shape as it seems.
Hutarovich owns everyone else in Gabon
And here are the live updates for the Volta ao Algarve, you can follow the race on PCS.

Contador showing his cards. Should not show it so early in season.
