Welcome to the 3rd leg of The Amazing Race!
The game clocks are reset and you have all been given $50.
Keep track of your own money because if you spend money
you don't have you will incur a 60 minute penalty.
After living it up in the bright lights of Los Angeles it's time head South.
Your 3rd destination is:
For the first time in this race you will have to travel by airplane.
Good Luck and Race Safe!
Air Travel: Los Angeles to Buenos Aires
Using Amazing Race's official travel sponsorship Travelocity,
You have to find the quickest arriving real-time flight from
the current race location to where you are going.
However, there are two twist. Otherwise this would be too simple and easy.
1. An individual flight accumulates a 30 minute delay for each team on it.
Unless you are the only team on the plane then it arrives at the scheduled time.
For example, Travelocity says flight arrives at destination at 4:00 PM.
However 4 teams chose that exact flight so it will actually arrive at 6:00 PM.
2. Each layover gives a 50% chance of being delayed an extra 15 minutes.
Adds strategy to the game as the first arriving flight might not be the best option. Although it could be your golden ticket if everyone decide to avoid it.
Make sure you chose One-Way, not Round-Trip.
You are booking two adult tickets, you and your partner.
Flights don't take money out our team's bank account.
The game clock starts now and stops at the arrival time of the flight.
One team member must PM me with their chosen flight.
Failure to follow directions multiple times will result in penalties.
I'll be more lenient to help this leg, but not so much in the future.
The Road Block will be posted on the thread later today.
You have to pick a flight before submitting your answers for the Road Block.

Leg #3: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Check-In and Stop the Game Clock
You've touched down in South America.
Time to checkout your surroundings.
PM me the 5 locations/tourist attractions in the picture to stop the clock.
Also include which one of you will take on the Detour on Day 3.
Time penalties will occur for the following:
1. Each Incorrect Answer. (+60 Minutes)
2. Not mentioning who will do the Detour. (+15 Minutes)

Damn. Feared for this, but hoped more people would be ''tactical'' so it'd pay off in the end.
10:40 and 10:30 are different flights or just a typo?

Still better than the two teams that decided to arrive in the afternoon

The quickest way to the Detour is through the local subway.
However, it's going to cost you $175.
This will get you to the Detour in 15 Minutes.
Leg #3: Buenos Aires
Transportation 2 - Bicycle
Too expensive? Well rent a bike.
This will cost you $50.
But, will get you to the Detour in 75 Minutes.
Leg #3: Buenos Aires
Transportation 3 - Walking
Not willing to pay and save your cash?
Well, looks like you'll have to walk.
This is free, but will take you 150 Minutes to get to the Detour.
PM me with team's choice of transportation.
The game clock is not running during this.
Only the time mentioned above will be counted.
Once completed this concludes Game Day 2 of the 3rd Leg.
A brief overview of where your team stands on time will be posted
before I send out the Detour challenges by PM tomorrow.

You keep track of your own money. Go back and figure it out. I tell you when you receive money. Spend money you don't have and that's a 60 minute penalty.

Solid leg so far, hopefully the Detour doesn't re-route us too far. Would not have expected those three down the bottom... could an upset be on the cards?!

5th is good, I'm happy.
I bet it'll be between the bottom two, since those are likely the ones who messed up their flights. Didn't expect either of them down there otherwise.

Well, Detour de France was not a team so far, but one man show from Luigi (thanks). I am once again disqualified from taking part by the fact that MRe posts everything in time when i am not online, so it is second Survivor once again for me...

Oh please... Mre has done a great job posting at different times. In the start, that was in the middle of the night for me, meaning Bikex did good in saving us, while right now my time zone is favored. It is impossible to post at a time that is perfect for both Aussies/Asians/Europeans and Americans and leaves everybody happy.

This was not Mre's criticism, rather stating a fact and identifying myself as shitty teammate (and competitor in 2nd Survivor).
