Danielson would never go to the Vuelta, because he'll no doubt be at the USA Pro Challenge. that's why it's surprising to me. He won't ride a single GT this year now.
That would make sense to appear at the USA Pro Challenge, but well, he expected to be at the TdF and he is not so he might have his plans changed.
I'm not sure if Garmin did the right thing to give him a long-term deal through 2015. But well, his 2013 form suggested he still had something left in him.
I'm quite disappointed, because after Vaughter's comments from last year, that Garmin was going to change into a GC team, I expected a stronger (quantity in case of Giro and quality in case of TdF) climbing support for GTs and it's not happening. It still looks promising for Vuelta, but one injury, one drop in form, one surprising missing and it may not look that good as well.
But I must say I'm glad at least that Howes and King got their chance. I want them to be solid mountain domestiques, an asset for the team in a year or two. Their TdF presece suggests things are heading into the right direction.
They will probably have a good Vuelta team at least, with two fresh leaders and possibly Danielson. Maybe some of the other Tour guys too.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

I'm really disapointed that Impey wasn't picked to ride the tour, especially given what he managed last year and his form this year. It seems a pretty bizarre decision.

Looking at Orica's roster, you wonder how many Simons can one team have. Pity Goss isn't there, in place of Keukeleire, Durbridge or Tuft, because they would have a roster of 2xMatthew, 2xMichael and 3xSimon. They could add Michael Hepburn then and come short of one Matthew to have each first name tripled in their roster. But maybe they can count Matthews as a third Matthew.
So 3 is the number of the day, because by making only 3 changes you could have Orica's roster consisting of only 3 first names repeated 3 times each. |

Hang on a second, why is Simon in instead of Adam? Have OGE confused themselves?
I know that Simon is supposedly the better Yates but Adam has an amazing season. I would've dropped Hayman and pick both in |

If you follow cycling, it's not that hard to figure this one out.
They both neo pros and Adam has been riding a lot, Turkey, California and Dauphine, he'll be exhausted at this point.
Simon had injury, came back strong in Slovenie and is relatively fresh..
Anyhow, Impey's exclusion is baffling, they must have a strong reason as Impey is a big asset to any team.

If you live in the United States and you can pick the correct order of the top 10 finishers in this years tour you could win 1 million dollars.

The competition aside, Road ID... hm, sounds like worth picking up.

So this is why Impey isn't in Orica's roster.

Mr Daryl why using a subtances what is traceble? So stupid?
He was born in Plessé, Loire-Atlantique, a part of Brittany, now part of Pays de la Loire. When he was six he moved with his parents to Buenos Aires where he took Argentine nationality. His cycling career started when he won a bike in a lottery at the age of sixteen. As his father wanted him to do a 'real' job, he adapted the nickname Lucien Breton for races, to deceive his father. Later he changed it to Petit-Breton, because there already was another cyclist called Lucien Breton.

Valverde saying he is better than ever this year (danish website). I REALLY hope he finally can get a good GC, hopefully top-5 or even top-3 and maybe a stage wins - 8th stage looks good. There arent many chances left.
Cant wait, counting days atm. |
