omega should redo their tactic
boonen isn't no more a favourite to win a cobble race
they should pick terpstra leader on roubaix
Tactic was more or less good BUT Vandenbergh is nothing more than a great helper. Should've sent Terpstra or Stybar with GVA. That would work out much much better.
No disrespect to Van Avermaet as he raced this race as a pure gentleman, but he shouldn't have worked when Cancellara and Vanmarcke caught him.
And Terpstra... wtf? you're in shape of your life, have most energy left and can't follow that attack by Cancellara, that to be honest didn't looked "so impressive" (of course relatively).

Go figure...
I even think I saw somewhere that this was Sørensens debut RvV (at 38). Guess he will be spending a good few hours wondering what would have happende had he started racing cobbled a bit earlier in his career...
Anyway a great race and I for one was happy to see Boonen actually sprinting for that 7th place in stead of just rolling over without caring.

But Terpstra and Stybar would have needed to do work. Because Vandenbergh is merely a helper he was allowed to wheelsuck the entire ride through. That was their tactic with him, use him to wheelsuck and maybe he gets lucky. In any case, it's not his fault that it didn't work out but the rest of OPQS. Boonen not good enough, Terpstra not smart enough and Stybar, well I missed Stybi a lot there.
It's a great 4th place for him, but anything more than that would have been, I don't know... he would have deserved it much, much less than the other three.

Their main fault is appointing Boonen as absolute leader and develop the tactic completely around him. What is wrong with letting Stybar work with GVA? Terpstra should've been the leader, not Boonen. Nevertheless, Terpstra should've followed Cance and Vanmarcke.
ON: Great race by Vanmarcke but wasted way too much energy for nothing, but I hope he'll learn as he grows older. Nice effort by GVA aswell!

I was thinking the same, he was great in Dward Door and today again..
-Tramadol evidently made its way into most of the peloton.
-Cancellara was overall the best rider, combining strength with smart racing. Deserved win.
-Thorougly enjoyed Greg Van Avermaet. What a legend.
-Also, loved seeing Leukemans shine once again. Great guy.
-OPQS failed because they had their plan around Boonen completely. They stayed with him when Boonen couldn't follow Cancellara. In hindsight, was expected. Lefevre was asked the question this week: "Do you think Terpstra can win RVV?" he said yes but his head shook no. In other words: he could but we won't let him. Terpstra is a very smart rider but also too much of a team player and nice guy to say otherwise.

-Alakagom: I saw the CyclingBetting flag indeed.
Painkillers, more or less?
I do not necessarily disagree, but what do you base it on?
