Good day for Mourey, I see a big bug in Valverde crashes and fights back and then to attack, isn't that surreal?

Thanks sutty & rogvi
While Valverde can do that, our own Pinot is still fighting to stick up with the peloton..
Valverde might not even be injured ( Pinot either) but maybe there is some National bonus for Valverde, not sure..

Good ride from the team. Shame Mourey missed the attack by Malacarne when getting the bottle...

Quite a good stage for the team with Mourey now also being up there in the general classification, but it's just a pity that it wasn't him instead of Malacarne who took the win |

Thanks the-hoyle & Vali
I don´t like to pause the game and it happens to me sometimes when i scroll back from the break to the peloton and start to prepare the team for the final sprint, i miss all at the front..
2 Big names go for the break.. T.Pinot GC+ 23´51" and J.Fuglsang (AST) GC +7´07"..
1st KOM sprint, they have 5´28"gap..
2nd KOM sprint, 7´25"gap.. this is looking good.. M.Hayman(OGE) tries to get away but he will get caught later on..
Pinot and Fuglsang reach the 2nd Int.Sprint with almost 10´00" gap... 68kms to ride.. Pinot has made all the work until now.. Fuglsang´s wheelsucking just sucks..
It was some point in the race where Fuglsang was leding GC, i really don´t understand why he doesn´t help with the pace, he had really good chances to take the GC lead..
The duo at the front is reaching the 3rd KOM sprint, time when Fuglsang finally helps with the pace.. Pinot made all the work until now, had he eventually not worked so hard, they would have been already caught by the peloton.. 5´57"gap with 30kms to go.. its sad to know this but its true..
Damn idiot.. .. right after the top, Fuglsang attacks.. Pinot decides to keep his little energy reserve and rides the best he can..
When the pack reach this KOM sprint, there are some riders who try to get away.. S.Henao(SKY) GC 8th +1´21" and race leader A.Contador are the first to go.. behind comes B.Mollema(BEL) GC 5th +33"..
J.Fuglsang reach the final km..
B.Mollema and L.L.Sánchez have Pinot insight..
They are coming fast behind,.. will Pinot hang on for 2nd?..
J.Fuglsang takes the stage win..
... and T.Pinot hangs on for a great 2nd..
Cat and mouse between S.Spilak and A.Contador..
Spilak gets the jersey back.. we are fighting for a top15 here.. it seems..

That just sucks.... Get it, suck? Anyways too bad for Pinot there looked good, do as they do, if they stop working, you also need to stop working (the pace)

A great podium when it is clear that Pinot is still stuggling from the crash. Just a handful of seconds for Mouray and he has a Top 15 spot on GC!

Thanks guys, really appreciate your visit.
I get it rogvi97 .. well if i´m going to stop with the pace when the others don´t do anything, there will be hno break for us.. .. i really hope this will be changed for pcm14.. but i doubt it..
Completly agree with you the_hoyle.. .. Its clear that Pinot is still (somehow.. somewhere) injured, but i see that he´s coming back to his full fitness again, we count on him for the Giro..
Thank you Batista and sutty... was nice to see Pinot getting that 2nd..
I´ll try to find some time to race stage 5 today and post the report, if not, then tomorrow..

Ugh, Fuglsang... what an attitude. Pinot is racing only for the win and he has shown that today by providing such stubborn work throughout the day. Without effects of injury, what could have been... But no matter what, a fantastic ride by Pinot and a nice 2nd place.

I didn't really give up from commenting your story (as you said in Trek), but just can't find any time to even write my story and not to talk about following other stories.
However, great result by Thibaut Pinot. Team is really having some hard period, as the results are quite bad, but result such as this are always a great refresh. Hopefully, we'll be able to see something like this more often from now!

That was a great podium from Pinot, especially his fighting spirit, after the fall in the first stage, was impressive, when we consider that he was probably still injured |

Thank you all.
*Shonak - I somehow was expecting that from Fuglsang when he started to help with the pace at the 3rd kom sprint, problem was that Pinot was getting very tired and decided to keep on his own pace..
*admirschleck - no problem with that.. I do hope Pinot will recover for the Giro, if not, he might have to step out from the list..
*Vali - Agrre too, team Doctor didn´t found anything wrong with Pinot but he´s somehow still suffering from that fall.. good thing is that he´s recovering, slowly..

Me too sutty.
If anyone wants to challenge P.Fédrigo in the kom ranking, then will have to attack today..
After the start, M.Nieve(SKY) GC +10´25", B.Jungels(TFR) GC +13´12" and P.Fédrigo GC +2´37" are the first to attack..
T.Martin(OPQ) GC +19´09" and A.Cardoso(GRS) GC +8´07" attack too..
Martin and Cardoso catch up with the front group before the 1st kom sprint..
The breakaway is reaching the 3rd kom sprint with peloton reducing the gap to 7´35"... 95kms to go..
65kms.. the most important climb today, K.Elissonde leads the pack, many riders struggle.. 4´18"gap to the front..
Our pace makes Katusha to work hard to come back.. 50kms.
Bad luck strikes T.Pinot again.. this time is a puncture.. he drops from the main group now.. 40kms..
Pinot is brought back to the group by A.Jeannesson who was coming from behind..
With 2 climbs to go, we are droped from the group.. 25kms to go..
P.Fédrigo´s group is caught.
Fédrigo attacks and tries to catch up with the main group..
A.Valverde GC 3rd +16" leads and starts to climb last mountain..
B.Mollema(BEL) GC 4th +16", follows him..
He´s almost there..
A.Valverde wins..
P.Fédrigo wins kom jersey.. well done.

Not too good result in that stage, but Fedrigo is still KoM leader, which is great.
