Transfer Season 14/15

Exactly, if he gets ready for the tour next year i think Sagan will have more than enough problem scraping points. He got a better team around him in the sprints and the mountains and is a better sprinter in my opinion and if Coquard steps up and take stage wins Sagan would not be that safe.

Wut Sir?

Are you talking here about that man, who is 170points in front of anyone else in green jersey competition?

Im just saying his sprinting is not like it was last year and if it continues to decline he will have problems in the future Angry

Man, you are crazy. Are you aware that Sagan made a history this year with maximum points for the green jersey since the rules were changed?? Matthews has no chance. EVER.

Luigi, you are becoming really boring with you hate...

I would also like to point out, that there was not single stage finish actually benefiting his biggest feat, uphill sprint. So he made a fucking record point haul without actually having stages made for him. Wink

Make three uphill sprints like usual and he will win at least two...

You make a good point about his record point haul and him and his team have played it well with picking up so many points at the intermediate sprints, in saying all that there hasn't really been anyone else going for Green, the other teams knew he would win Green and outside of Couquard picking up points who else has committed to beating him? Nobody they have all gone for stage wins. There have been plenty of stages that have suited Sagan but the peloton have been racing against him knowing what he can do and Sagan has made some mistakes. Wherever he ends up next season I would see a couple of stronger helpers (he has missed Moser this season) and I think if he tweaks a few things and learns from this season he will be winning classics next season.

Heard somewhere he might go to Tinkoff-Saxo, what an edition he would be Smile

There are obviously 4 WT teams negotiating with him.
I really hope it won`t be Tinkoff Saxo in the end.

As valverde said, Garmin, Trek and eventually Orica would be good teams for him imo.

Orica would be great for Konig since he will get a full leadership role while at Tinkoff or Garmin he might have to be a domestique

He wouldn't be a domestique at Garmin as long as there are 2 other GT's to aim for, he could get chances at Saxo but they would be limited. Orica would be a good fit and they wanted a GT leader a month ago but once they lost out on Keldermann and with what Yates did at the Dauphine and Chaves at the ToC they seem to have gone cold on the idea and build around what they already have. Konig will go somewhere as he is looking for a payday so Saxo might end up being his destination

why this time, the time that I said that if Sagan keeps getting worse (or the rest get's better faster then Sagan) he might not easily scrap points together next year or the time that I said that I find sagan just below Greipel, Coquard, Demare, Bouhanni but then said realisticly speaking he's best then them. I wasn't even hating.

ahaha i might have overreacted a bit about Matthews but yeah good job to Sagan but he didn't really have any challenge from the other guys especially in the intermediate sprints, at least half his earnings comes from that. Just saying he is no longer superior in sprints and Matthews and a full team riding for him could give him more than enough problems, i guess we will have to wait to next year to see who is right Pfft

Mollema to leave Belkin for sure. I can just feel it Pfft. I think there are some irritations and he wants a new challenge.

I think Sagan needs a stronger team, not only of domestiques, but he also needs another strong rider with whom he could cooperate in attacks, like let's say Cancellara, who makes a late attack and forces the other teams to chase only to bring Sagan to the sprint. Several times this TdF he lacked this kind of support (stage 2, stage won by Gallopin etc).

Dan martin also. Hesjedal: thought in a couple of years he won't matter as much towards that. I say trek is a better option.

What about Cannondale, they are ProTour but have no GC leader. He wouldn't get a ton of support, but he would be able to have free reign in all PT races.

Norwegian reports that EBH has signed with Tinkoff.

Please, EBH, why u do dumb? You jump from a team focus on GT's... to a team that focus on GT's.

Well, perhaps jumping to a team that focus on sprints and ending up as a lead-out guy would be better for him...

They report that Tinkoff is interested yes but he (Oleg) said earlier today that he was interested and in talks with 4-5 riders so nothing is confirmed just yet.

Oleg says this about the Boasson Hagen stuff:

Hans agent er meget aktiv, og han ringer hele tiden. Det betyder, at han (Boasson Hagen red.) vil hertil, siger Tinkov.

"His agent is very active and calls often. It means that Hagen wants to go here"

It's Oleg, so not sure how much you should put into this Pfft

He has also joked about getting Karpets to his team and give him 30,000 euros a month, so do not trust him  Pfft

I'm more curious about why Tinkoff would want him. Exceedingly overpriced and overrated. He would probably get a bit more freedom and leadership in lower ranked races and be used as a super domestique at the top races which is about all he can ask with his recent palmares.

Maybe EBH as a super domestique to Sagan? That would make sense for me.

Drama Queen v2 signed another 2 years contract with Sky, after all of those media messages and interviews about leaving for something different. Happy for him. He certainly is a great rider.

Dan Martin? He's hardly ever going to become a reliable GT contender. He gets sicks too often, alongside his crashes. Over 3 weeks, mishaps will happen. Konig and Martin could work well, sending Martin as lone GT contender would be suicide by Garmin.

Anyhow, Cannondale future is unknown. There were very strong rumours of Garmin-Cannondale merge, but who knows. It's still relatively quiet on that front.
