Since this was the last day of Race Appeal / Attractivity contest, let's make a small summary:
Huzarski -70s
Marczyński -60s
Rohregger -30s
Matysiak -30s
Morajko -30s
Atapuma - 30s
Pauwels -20s
Dyachenko -20s
Ladagnous -20s
Cieślik -20s
Pineau -10s
Riblon -10s
Mestre -10s
Gradek -10s
Izaguirre -10s
And provisional GC without the Race Appeal:
1. Riblon
2. Majka +10s
3. Henao +14s
4. Weening +17s
5. Izaguirre +19s (+3 positions)
6. Pozzovivo + 23s
7. Capecchi
8. Kiserlovski +26s
9. Basso +30s
10. CA Sorensen +31s
11. Howes +58s
12. Hermans +1.24
13. Santaromita +1.33
14. Kangert +1.44
15. Rohregger +1.47 (+3 positions)
The changes ain't that big (classic breakaways took the most of it), but in terms of TT results...

Indeed, Atapuma is way out of the GC, why would he take a relay?
To make things worse, earlier he was in the break (yesterday i believe). And the others made him leave the break because they kept saying he was too dangerous for the gc.. but atapuma was already 5 mins behind, so it was total bs.
Glad he got revenge on those fuckers today, especially the bad DS of those riders who somehow convinced their riders that Atapuma was dangerous. Fucking retards
Which brings me to another point. I think 90% of all DS are total fucking retards and the average forum member here could do a better job |

Most of us are experienced PCM-players so it's logical we know much about tactics. |

Wouldn't surprise me if Kangert still wins the overall.

Santabrogio aside, Riblon gotta be one of contenders for close out of nowhere oldie performance of the year.
More than average season since 16th stage of Tour, and now on verge of WT stage race victory. Good on him
Really happy for Atapuma, Tea, Colombia deserves some success bigger success. Quite happy Henao also is on right track for Vuelta, solid performances, but nowhere yet what he's fully capable of.

Not sure if it's going to happen or not, but in case Riblon would win he G.C., that'd be the first time a French rider wins a stages race since Pro Tour or World Tour have been created, wouldn't it ?
I can't really remember podiums either (quite a lot of fourth places though). |

Pauriol and Moncoutie podiumed in Catalunya. And Moreau in Catalunya and the Dauphine. Moreau actually won the Dauphine in 2007
What happened to Pauriol?

And what about Chavanel in 2009? 3rd in P-N, and 2nd in Eneco. |

I think Riblon will do enough to win GC. He is good enough in TT, surely will not win TT. That will be up to Wiggins, Cancellara or Nibali. But will do equal to or better than Majka and Henao.
Other people in top 10 like Izagirre, Kišerlovski, Capecchi, Pozzovivo, Weening are not good when it comes to TT.
If there is someone like Wiggins within 1m then would have been dangerous, as he can get 1m easily in TT, but nobody in 2min range is proven TTlist. Basso is in decline now.
Plus Riblon is in awesome form, he will surely win today. |

lol not even close. Riblon is having a good season, but he's still far from his CQ points record (2010). Santambrogio had more than double his record. In May. So far Riblon hasn't done anything he hadn't done before.

The ITT seems hilly. Weening did well in a hilly ITT in basque tour. Obviously he is not as good as Izagirre, Riblon or anything, but he should do well enough to keep his top 5 place normally |

In an interview Riblon was angry at Atapuma not taking his offer to relay and take the win in the last km. He estimates it costed him around 5 seconds and is worried he can lose the race by this margin.

Well said. I think sometimes the World Tour Teams with their million budgets are afraid someone from a small Team with a ridiculous budget can do better than them |
