On Vive le vélo (Flemish talkshow about teh Tour) I actually heard an interesting theory from the last Belgian Giro winner. He said Contador might've intentionally screwed up the podium because he'd rather be 4th than 2nd.
Now if that's true, I've no idea, but he himself said that he would've done that. Unfortunately I forgot his argumentation so it just sounds silly, but it had a reason
Contador on that final stage, either he was really weak, or he cut a big piece out of the team's paycheck |

It has been obvious all season that he simply isn't good enough anymore.
This just sounds like a new argument from the "Contador is just unlucky and will return to his old level soon"-community.

Just to clarify, it's something I heard. Not something I believe. And I'm the last to expect Contador to rise up again to his old level both in his level of cycling and in his level of clenbuterol |

Yeah, I got that. It's De Muynck who might be part of Contador's fanclub.

Contador might have said that he'd rather miss the podium by attacking to win than just settle for second, not that he'd rater be 4th than 2nd (in fact he did say that 2nd is better than 4th, what a great intellect he has).

Kittel has lengthed his contract for 2 years. (https://www.nu.nl/sport/3532769/kittel-verlengt-contract-bij-argos-shimano.html) Should be on the Facebookpage of Argos, but couldn't find it.

Has anyone got any news on Westras condition?
They said he didn't finish the Champs Elysses stage due to illness - guess that means he wont be defending his win on Post Danmark Rundt next week or how bad is it?

He had an infection on his lungs and had been suffering for the last 2 mountain stages of the tour. For his current situation you can best refer to his twitter: www.twitter.com/l... |
