@Ollfardh Luckily, Boom is exactly 78 cobbles
@TMM Well, I'm disappointing as well, sending Voeckler to both
Feyenoord(football) and Kelderman fanboy

Yup, not happy about it myself. The original plan was to have Nizzolo in Tirreno instead, but a mistake form my part had me struggling with race days for those 2. It was basicly Démare twice or send no sprinter at all, which would seriously hurt my ranking. So I'll accept the frowns of disgust aimed at me

Yeah, let's talk about The Lost Classics, you guys bumped it to the previous page

The Lost Classics
Both teams has a good season start with lots of money being earned, so they decided to work together and invest back in cycling. The aim was to revive the classics that did not make the final cut on the UCI calendar. We will start with 1 race, but may hold another at some point depending on the success. The race we'll be doing is Dwars Door Vlaanderen.
This race is by no means official. It's just for fun, and possibly bragging rights. If you want to participate, it won't cost you race days, it won't give you points or money, etc.
In order to give the smaller teams a chance to compete, there will be two restrictions for this race:
1) Only riders with a cobble stat of 78 or lower
2) There's a maximum of 6 riders per team
If you want to participate, just send me a PM with your 6 riders. The race itself will be handled by Sutty in his HQ, at a yet to be determined moment (most likely in between San Remo and E3, where it belongs).

Don't really have a strong cobbled squad but I'll participate anyway
And I'm sure you'll want Verboven there

11 teams in already. 15 teams seems like a good number to start the race, so send in your team if you want in

And that's 14 teams received now, can't believe this is going so well
So while we have one spot left in theory, everyone who sends in a team before monday evening can join

Tirreno Stage 1 - A podium to start
It's been a while since we raced, but the boys sure were hungry to ride again. A team trial is always hard, and this one was no different. It's not easy finding the right balance, even for veteran Marzio Bruseghin, who overheated on the hill and had to let go. Even worse, team leader Lucas Gonzalez couldn't follow when the guys started their final sprint. Yet, here's a picture of the team when things were still going ok.
In the end, third isn't bad, but we lost some time on favourites Froome (who had an exceptional team) and Contador (whose team hugely surprised us). Seems like we'll have to attack at some point, but for now we'll focus on tomorrow's stage. Time for our sprinters to show what they can do!

Tirreno Stage 2 - Stop looking at us!
Stage 2 was a stage full of surprises. A breakaway quickly formed, but we decided not to join them because we don't really have the guys for it. So we decided to wait and see what happened. Nothing happened.
Well, we're not the sprinters team with the awesome chances of a stage win. We don't have the yellow jersey. We don't have the steak eating race favourite in our team. Why should we do the work? Stop looking at us and start riding yourselves!
But they didn't. The breakaway won it, good for them! Maybe tomorrow we can get some more action.

Milan - San Remo squad announced
Based on the good performances by our riders in Almeria, Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico, here's our team for Milan - San Remo. The first monument of the season is very important for our Italian sponsor Pizza Ullo, so we aim to get a good result here. A bigger preview will follow closer to the race day.
Dries Devenyns
Stijn Devolder
Philippe Gilbert
Kristof Goddaert
Giacomo Nizzolo
Jurgen Roelandts
Sébastien Rosseler
Mitch Thompson

Gilbert has a good chance over the Cipressa and Poggio. Roelandts has a decent kick and can get over some hills. Mitch is also pretty suited to the parcours.
Its a good team, but if Gilbert doesn't attack to win i don't see anyone else there with the power to finish it off.

The team is decent, but won't be the best out there. The plan is to get a tough race and break away with either Gilbert or Thompson. As backup, we try a sprint with Roelandts or Nizzolo.
EDIT: Yes, Almeria. It's for role-playing reasons. At this point we're at the 2nd stage of Tirreno, with Paris-Nice over halfway and Almeria was weeks ago

Tirreno Stage 3 - Taking a nap
Again not much to report today. A break got away and stayed away. The leader's jersey changed shoulders once again. We're feeling a bit sorry for Arnaud Démare, who didn't get any chances for a sprint yet, but he realises that getting back breakaways is not our job. Some teams urged us to ride when Hesjedal crashed, but that's a game we're not going to play. We hope that something exciting will finaly happen tomorrow.
In other news, Dwars Door Vlaanderen is taking shape, the race is planned the wednesday after Milan-San Remo.
