A perfect stage in my opinion, like all the riders in the top 5. What fun it is without Contador to spoil the party |

Fair play to Cadel Evans for praising the ride of Frooomey, really nice comments |

It's incredible to say it, but my biggest hope for general classification is probably Maxime Monfort now..

What about Taaramae as well, massive surprise, perhaps more so than sky!
Well but with taaramae you could see a steady developement over the last years not like rogers for example who is a bigger suprise for me(of course his whole year not only tour) |

having 4 battle is better than 2 a la contador vs schleck, contador vs rasumssen, contador vs schleck again etc.
I will say it now with 100% confidence, there is no doping at Team Sky!!
I there is i would probably lose all faith in cycling and sport...
I don't agree. Rasmussen vs Contador was the Tour that i enjoyed the most, especially the stages in the Pyrenées were truly fantastic.
On the other hand, 3-4 big contender can also be really interesting and to be honest i really enjoyed watchting this stage. This was really more than i had expected given the 1st mountain stage the previous year. |

Porte has won th Giro Young rider, its not a surprise that he can climb.
Wiggins and Froom have both got a GT podium, we know they can climb.
Rogers has climbed well in the past.
Imagine in Uran was here in form as well

The Sky train is horrible for cycling. Sorry Alakagom. It takes all the excitement out of it. Your not even surprised when a climber gets shed. It makes it the most boring thing ever. No tactical attacks. Just ride everyone away with your assembly line. I was disappointed by crashes. I'm disappointed by this. Worst Tour in recent years. And I doubt it will get better, judging by Dauphine. Not sure I'll watch it again.
I like the irony of this, from a big Armstrong fan, but also because of what happened in the Tour of California stage in your avatar!
I have given up on Armstrong. Drop it already.
An you mean, one guy (Busche) paced the leader of the race, who had attacked to gain the jersey? By the time Busche pulled off, him and Leipheimer were alone. Why would Horner attack? He was in the lead. And Matthew Busche alone isn't exactly the world class climber that will pop guys off the back, and there wasn't 4 of him Once they were alone, they weren't going to attack each other.
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy

Youve got me there, it was the Rasmussen Contador battle that got me into cycling...

What do you know? Radioshack again comes to GT with thousands of leaders but in the end it is Zubeldia who is the best placed. |

In that California stage, Busche did exactly the same as Porte and Rogers did here. It's just that since the field was weaker, there was no longer anybody left for Horner and Leipheimer - whereas Froome and Wiggins still at least had competition from Evans and Nibali!

One thing is Team Sky suspiciously dominating.
Another thing is the "Sky Fans" over-rating all the riders, saying that these guys have been this good their whole life. In all honesty, most of these guys are coming from years of anonymity.
This is going to be a looooong Tour, if Sky keep winning.
I honestly prefer Contador vs. Schleck to this.

I found them boring mainly because i didn't have a strong feeling about either of them didn't hate or like either wheras you i assume supported Rasmussen making the tour more enjoyable for you as a viewer!?
Whereas me cheering on Sky haven't been as exicted watching a tour stage as today in ages it's just people's perferences on riders usually which makes them enjoy certain years more and i don't think we should be blasting people for enjoying certain years more then others. |

Still, better than the Norwegians.

Porte lost time on every single mountain stage in that Giro. Without that break he wouldn't have been anywhere near the white jersey. The way he got it than was legit, but it didn't mean that he was a good climber. Average at most.
Froome podiumed in the Vuelta. Any noteworthy results before that? Even Cobo had some notable results in the mountains before his Vuelta win. Froome had close to nothing. He came out of nowhere.
Rogers, same as Porte, just an average climber.
I honestly want to believe that they are clean, but lets face facts. I haven't seen this since the Armstrong-era, and we all know what happened there.
Also note, that Rogers and Porte didn't even completely crack after doing all that work in the lead.

Seriously have you seen this giro? He only won it because of that breakaway
And when did rogers climb well the last time before 2012 - probably at least five years ago |

Armstrong attacked his big favorites though. Have you even seen his stage wins?
Porte, Rogers, Froome. All of a sudden gret climbers popping everyone. Matthew Busche setting the pace at the front of the group. Did you see the Siera stage? Imagine if it had been a train with Busche, Brajkovic, Kloden, Leipheimer for Horner. That would be this. Nothing alike.
