TEAM
Team Novo Nordisk
In racing terms it was a very quiet day for us but in terms of the result we will certainly be happy having two riders in the top six

NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP
Bauer/Team Novo Nordisk decided to go it on his own right from the word go and has steadily built up an advantage of over eight minutes
After letting him enjoy himself in front of the TV cameras the riders behind have decided to up the pace and are being led along by Henderson/Lotto Belisol
With sixty kilometres to go the lead is 8m 48s so Bauer has eased off the pedalling to try and keep some energy for when he gets nearer the finish
Henderson is still leading the peleton with not much co-operation from the other riders
The lead has come down dramatically as tiredness begins to play its part
The pack are on the last climb of the day and seem resigned to fighting it out for second place
He approaches the final five kilometres of the race with just under five minutes advantage, surely nothing but a mechanical problem can stop him now
Under the red kite he goes
And he's done it, he becomes the double National Champion of New Zealand
And four minutes later Northey/Node4 Giordana leads home the peleton

Robert Hunter - Garmin - Sharp
Gary Sutton - Team Novo Nordisk
Adam Blythe - Team Novo Nordisk
Sky Procycling
That was an absolutely Great day out for the guys today, a Brilliant lead-out train got Adam to the line for the victory, five riders in the top ten on the stage and Adam now in second place on the GC by a solitary second.
We also have the Mountains jersey on Gary's back and Adam is in the Best Young rider jersey too
