Well the new season is nearly upon us so i thought i would give you a little heads up to where we are.
After the disappointment of last season we find ourselves still in the Pro Continental division so our first real aim is to get that Promotion to the World Tour, which i think is achievable considering the new recruits we have acquired in the off season.
Secondly i would really like to see the guys get more wins to there name which will certainly boost our profile amongst the general public and the cycling world as a whole.
At the moment the guys are away at different training camps in Austrlia and New Zealand getting some much needed miles into there legs and at the same time getting used to our new equipment
We had three riders leave our ranks over the winter, Jure Kocjan wanted a new challenge so joined Adria Mobil, Eugene Matthews didn't live up to the expectations we had of him so accepted the approach from Drapac to take him back to his homeland and Alexander Serebryakov felt he wasn't the first chice sprinter anymore after the arrivals of Swift and Blythe last season so decided not to renew his contract with us and will now be riding in the colours of Katusha instead.
On the plus side we are happy to announce the arrivals of Top sprinter Tyler Farrar from Garmin along with compatriot Peter Stetina, time triallist Lawson Craddock from Bontrager, un-attached Caleb Fairly who we think will be a star of the future and growing talent Sondre Holst Enger from BMC Plussbank and veteran sprinter Fred Rodriguez from Team Exergy.
On the equipment side of things Colnago didn't extend there partnership with us so we are happy to announce that Orbea will be our official bike supplier for the coming season as will American Classic with our wheels too.
The team has today received confirmation from the Organisers of the Vuelta a Espana that there request to be included in the race this year has been accepted, which means that the team will ride its first Grand Tour in its short history.
Team Manager Phil Southerland was ecstatic with the news and said it gives the team and the riders something to look forward to come September in what will be a very very special occasion
Great restart to the story! Great signings (are these the same as before?) and nice early season schedule! Looking forward to seeing the guys in Spain as well
the_hoyle - Yes they were the original riders from before and the teams schedule won't be as busy as in other seasons so we can be challengers throughout the season - hopefully
