Vardy is not an arsenal player. He is a counter attack player. Arsenal don't counter attack. He doesn't have the technical skill to pass the ball around quickly and break teams down, as shown against Portugal last week when he was useless.
He will obviously go as he is 29 and will never have a chance like this again. However I can't see him scoring lots of goals at Arsenal as he is simply not that kind of player. Giroud is the main striker so Vardy will either be used as a sub or be stuck out on the wing which hasn't worked for England. |

Vardy transfer would be terrible for Football from me, a hearty Arsenal fan. He has come up through the leagues and achieved greatness with Leicester who will be in the Champions League and have the chance to show it wasn't a fluke. If he moves on he shows a lack of loyalty to the club that gave him the opportunity.
He isn't an Arsenal type player, he's quick which is useful for any club but Arsenal pass the ball and he isn't that type of player. I do see Ozil linking up with him a lot but he won't repeat last seasons heroics with Arsenal.
This also makes it a bad move for him, he'll be known as being a player under no pressure having led Leicester to a miraculous title. If he stays with Leicester there will be limited pressure due to everything he has already achieved with the club. If he moves to Arsenal he moves to an unfamiliar environment that play football that isn't his style. He'll also be under a lot of pressure from Arsenal fans and Football fans which could pile on him.
In other words, he should stay at Leicester, if he leaves then go to Spain or Germany or Italy where he'll become a nobody. Or take the opportunity to make a hell of a lot of money and go to China!

First of all, I don't think Vardy's going to leave. He loves Leicester, loves the fans, he doesn't really need a pay rise since he already earns £80,000 a week- what's more, he's just had the best season he'll ever have. He'll be in the Champions League next season- why go?
The player I'm most worried about is Kante.

So you're honestly saying a player who was playing non-league football a few years ago is going to turn down a once in a lifetime chance to play for a team like Arsenal?
I agree that him going to Arsenal would be a mistake for him because his style is in no way suited to Arsenal's style. But he will go. Why would he reject a move to Arsenal and then sit and watch the likes of Mahrez and Kante move to bigger clubs.
The best thing you can do is try and do a swap deal for Walcott |

Great news. Not 100% assured but looks like Arsenal are moving onto new targets.
Hopefully will help convince the likes of Kanté + Mahrez to stay too, but I'm not totally convinced they'll stay.

No, Boro all the way, but everyone's a Leicester fan now. Glory supporters.

Boro sign Victor Valdes, have a deal for Subotic in the works and are being linked with Van Persie and Negredo. This doesn't seem real |

Despite a brief lack of composure in the second half convincing win Henderson's goal was something special

11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

I don't know if this link is working for you:

After looking at Liverpool's first five games of the season, I definitely wouldn't have picked the Burnley game to be the one with 0 goals scored and 0 points won.
