I especially enjoyed the image of someone with the Belgian national jersey on the highest step of the podium...
Hope to see that again in a week and a half.
That won't happen. But we just had the rainbow jersey so I won't be dissapointed, this year I don't have any expectations from the Belgian team. Just gonna enjoy the race and root for all riders I like.
Just checked out what I think is the final climb of today's sixth stage on Strava. Long one for the ToB at about 5.5km or so and 6.1%.
Looks like it starts as a false flat almost then steep, plateau, steep, plateau, steep to the line so might be selective given the steep streches are around 10%.
Could be a bit of reel 'em in on the flater sections from Sky and limit the losses - the Wiggins mantra
Apparently a certain GCN presenter named Dan Lloyd holds the KOM there.

It's always a special day when Devon hosts a stage of the Tour of Britain. Massive crowds, roads ideal for exciting bike racing and some of the most stunning scenery in the UK.
Always a happy Devonian watching the riders race on home roads. A painful experience having to watch it on my couch in Australia!!!
The climb is fairly consistant until the end where we see the flat/steep/flat/steep before the road swings around the great rocks. Should be a showdown between Quintana and Martin for the stage while Wiggins should do enough to retain the gold jersey.
Elmiger could be one to look out for today, bound to try and attack Wiggins. Pardilla may also fancy a dig.

That makes it a cat. 2. I didn't know there were such things in Britain.
Hey we have Bealach-na-Ba, in the Scottish Highlands (apparently) which is 9km and over 600m of vertical ascent with sections at 20%! Not that I've even been to Scotland you understand
