Luck and poor turnouts as well as the post TdF races like the Vuelta when everyone is tired and had won their fair share of races. |

Chill down mate, its obvious he just didn't want to be distanced by Nibali on the descent as he sees him as his biggest competitor right now. Thats perfectly reasonable at this point. |
