Hi!
I started a new save and in this save my pro's race level (that level that unlocks new races) is stuck at level 2. Does anybody know what I need to reach level 3? Not sure if this is a bug or not. On my previous save I reached level 4 quite easily.
Thanks!
If you click on the race level icon, a dialog will appear and it will tell you what you need to go to level 3

Can somebody post his experience with the Training (Stage, Puncheur, TT).
As a stage racer i tried to mix stage Training and puncheur, which give me a good stat mix.
Start as stage specialist, my lvl ups:
1. Puncheur
2. Stage
3. Puncheur
4. Stage
.....
Or is it btter to train only one specialisation?
For my stage racer I didn't train in stage racing at all, I alternated Climber - TT - Puncheur, with an extra climber thrown in now and again.
The reason is that I find a high resistance more useful than a high recovery, plus stage race training doesn't improve hills enough for me. |

Oh man I'm having one hell of a Tour.
23 year old stage racer, but quite successful with already Paris - Nice, Dauphiné and surprisingly a Vuelta victory against a weaker field last year. But the Tour is something else.
So after a good prologue and a very good time trial, I went into the lead, somewhat by surprise. Quintana started to get back time on every mountain stage.
On the final mountain stage, he finally overtook me. Yet there is one time trial left, 52 kilometers, and I have a minute deficit on Quintana.
There is actually a good chance I take this Tour de France, somewhat surprisingly. Fought very hard so far so only this time trial left to make or break |

Doesn't it kind of kill the realism to be contending for the big tours already in the first few seasons? Is there a way to tune down skill progression/raise the skill ceiling? |

yes, make sure to update the game to the latest patch. You will need to restart it though because it won't erase your progress |

I'm in my 7th season and I haven't raced a world championship or national championship yet. Am I missing something? My rider is British if it helps. |

I didn't have any plans to buy thsi edition either, but because of the Pro-mode I'm very intrigued.
I've been reading this thread and I'm shocked at the positive responce, I was sure Cyanide would balls it up somehow.
I'm wondering, what are the drawbacks to the Be A Pro-mode? Its more interesting to hear about what doesn't work, rather than what does. So, are there any major bugs/issues to speak of?

Where's the race level icon located? Can't seem to see it in-game.
My career's doing well, with my Eritrean puncheur who's riding for Leopard. Took my first victory at Berner Rundfahrt after a string of second places, and now moving into June I'm hoping to get a deal at MTN - Qhubeka. Will do a proper update once I finish the season. |

Incredibly enough, this years game actually is enjoyable and mostly playable. Sure, there are still bugs, but we haven't had any large patch just yet.
Currently the biggest drawback with Pro-mode is the insane rate you gain stats at, and the lack of transperency regarding national team selections and such. And of course, the inability to influence your teammates much.
But overall, PCM15 is turning out to be a good game.

Well spoken words. The only bad thing about Pro Cyclist is that you get so ridiculous good, and you have no hard time winning f.ex. Vlaanderen U23, Paris - Roubaix 23 and Tour de l'Avenir |

Right here:

Thanks, wasn't sure what that was. Although when clicking or putting my mouse on it nothing happens, could be a bug? Will try it on a different resolution.

I think you've totally missed the point, he isn't saying that there should be no under 25's in the tour just that stats should progress a little slower.
It's under 25 not under 23 for the youth jersey at the TDF.
and anyway people are reporting being able to win the tour at the age of 22/23, in real life, unless you get a massive talent like Schleck or Quintana the white jersey finishes lower top 10 to top 15, that suggests that's where you should be.
Granted, it does set you up as the next super talent a la Quintana but he didn't start challenging for a GT until he was 23 and won his first one at 24. Therefore it would make sense for you to be top 3/5 at 23 and challenging for the win at 24, which is still slower progression than what people have reported.
Now I don't have the game yet so I can't say whether the change in progression speed in the patch was enough but from what I've read it sounds like it could still go a little lower.

Such comments make me re-consider my decision not to buy this game.
I really got fed up with the season planning and all that other career breaking stuff.
How is the AI if you play with only one rider? Does the races play differently in the be-a-pro mode compared to the career mode?
On the other hand it is totally silly to be able to win the TdF at the age of 23. I kind of know it would be like this. What is your goal for age 32? Having won every race 5 times? |

The AI appears to be working normally, except that your teammates occasionally get bottles or protect you from the wind. But I haven't played enough team-races to really be sure.
But yeah, the stats are silly. Waiting for a patch and/or a mod before on that one.
