This fills me with dread for tomorrows Mens Elite race... If it's that easy for the women to come as such a sprint group then the strong sprinters are gonna have a field day tomorrow. Watch Germany to really try and hold it together, probably Aussies and GB to give them some real help at times.
Watch Germany wait until the last hour of racing to evaluate if Degenkolb recovered from the hospital stay before doing anything
I somehow can't get my mind off of GVA for this, dunno why exactly.
Kristoff to be just 5 metres too far away on the top of the climb to be in contention.
Gallopin either leading out Bouhanni or setting off alone somewhere very late.
How about Colbrelli 2nd just for the lulz?
Cancellara possesses everything you need to be in the front group when the descent begins and to be solo WC when it ends.
Sagan to be, well...Sagan and not win.
Absolute outside bet of the night: Daryl Impey.
All of this obviously indicating there's a similar race to what we've often seen the past days.

Cancellara has lately worked on his sprint. And we can see he can beat other people as he did at MSR or Flanders. Of course he can't match out right sprint of Degenkolb or Kristoff but if sprinters are tired like Cavendish and Sagan at MSR. But last year you remember he could not get over last climb in lead group. So all depends on that. This may be his last shot at title.
Other than that Nibali could make dare devil decent and what a way that would be for him to finish the year.
Or Froome winning. Would make all British media go mad

Sadly Nibali isn't in top shape and lately he had problems with his hip
Other than that, Cancellara winning'd be great for him, since it is the only race that he misses.
For what concerning Italy, I think that the best possibility would be Colbrelli since he is in great shape

Watchout for Australia and possibly Spain to tire them down. |

Bad weather combined with distance will suit Kristoff in particular, if it stays together enough for a small bunch sprint. |

Everything is leading me to think that Cancellara will win with a solo action in the last 30 kms

The breakaway: Zydrunas Savickas (Lithuania), Matija Kvasina (Croatia), Carlos Quintero (Colombia) and Oleksandr Polivoda (Ukraine)
Their lead is about 4:00 with 225km remaining.

I wouldn't be angry if I see that I really wish seeing Cancellara winning WC!
Thank you Andy for everything!

I'm just hoping that after 248kms or so that it does not come down to a bunch sprint cause that would make it rather boring. I am hoping that there are attacks from Puncheur, Fighters and opportunists.

Looks like the sun is back to stay - good sign for the chasing to come. Poland takes the early lead in the peloton.

It also looks like Polish riders seriously think about Kwiatkowski fighting in finish. Well, I didn't expect that they will chasing the breakaway . |
