Race Reaction.
Last race second, this race third. I’m not done yet. The race went well for me, unfortunately Sebastian spun early in the race and fell back. Nevertheless I’m happy to be on the podium. I’ve been second and third; next time it’ll be the first place.
I think that after 3rd in qualifying I should of been closer to Panico, but we need to work on our pit stops as we were nearly half a second slower than most other teams. You know I'm satisfied with this result because it moves me up in the drivers classification, and that's the main objective for the season, so I have to learn from this race and make sure that I win the next one.
I'm looking forward to Jerez as it suits my driving style, but also it will help us get closer to Panico because he can't get the car up to top speed, meaning that we will be closer to him, and I think that I will be able get past him and pull away as our car has shown great speed through the corners this year.

Race Masters Evolved - Justin Clark may not start
The second driver of Mohn Rennsport, Justin Clark, will not start at the race on Jérez. The British driver has had a small concussion and he didn't came through the medical inspection. The doctors think it's irresponsible to start in Spain. Clark is, to put it mildly, not happy with the doctors. "My head aches a bit but I don't have any problem with it. I think I can still drive and I totally disagree with the doctors. This is also not good for my championship ambitions because Panico will now take much more points this race and then he'll almost be completely out of sight for us. Well, I have to live with it and I'll now focus on the race after Jérez. Which one is that actually?"
The 33-year old Italian test driver of the Race Masters Evolved Ginno Albatrone will replace him at the race in Spain. "The circumstances aren't the best but it's my job to replace drivers when they're sick or injured. I'm happy with this chance, especially because Mohn has one of the better cars of the field. I hope to show myself, and that Justin will be better soon so he can drive again and fight for the championship. I'll try to take important points for the team ranking of the championship, which is important as well."
I'd like to have more drivers opinions and expectations. It doesn't have to be a wall of text, just a few sentences. A picture of the circuit is posted on page 16.

Ricciardo Gambino - Race Review
Another race finished in the points us very good for me as I have proved my consistency. My car isn't the quickest but we have been working hard at Travinski to do a bit better. Jerez should suit me better than the other races we have had, I am looking forward to a good result.

Race Masters Evolved - Race 4 - Jérez - Preview
Number of Laps: 35
The first one of two races in Spain will be on the circuit Jérez. Both Jérez and Valencia aren’t the most popular circuits, but they’re not bad at all. This weekend will be different from the first three weekends. Most of the teams will bring their first big updates to this circuit, so we’ll see some chances of the cars’ speed and ranking. We also have a driver who won’t start. Justin Clark didn’t came through the medical inspection so the Italian Ginno Albatrone will replace him. It’ll be interesting to see what he’ll do. But first, let’s take a look at the circuit!
The Jérez de la Frontera Track is a very narrow track, so overtaking will be very difficult. There are actually only two places where you can do it: The Curva Expo’92 and the Curva Dry Sac. The first one, which is also the first corner, is more difficult than the Curva Dry Sac. The Start/Finish straight is very narrow so it’ll be difficult to put the car next to another. The first corner is also a relative fast one so when you’re on the inside of it you don’t have always the better position. The Curva Dry Sac will be the most interesting place of the circuit. We expect many position changes there. On other parts of the circuit it’s also possible to overtake but that’ll be extremely difficult. For example the Curva Michelin, the Curva Sito Pons, the Curva Angel Nieto, the Chicane Ayrton Senna and the Curva Ducados. There’s a chance we’ll see some position changes there, but we don’t expect many. The qualification, the tactic and the pit-stops will be very important here.
The Favourites
Once again we’ll call Antonio Panico here, and that’s not very strange. What can we tell more about that guy? We’ve said almost everything the last few times so we can only repeat what we’ve said. Also watch out for Paul Rosanski, who had pole-position the last two races. Antlers says that they have a big update for this race so watch out for them as well.
The Dark Horse
Is it okay we call him? Yes, I think so. Ginno Albatrone will replace Justin Clark. It’ll be very interesting to see what he can do, especially because Clark didn’t have the best season start. And can Moreno Costa follow his teammate this time after he didn’t do very well the last two races. And what can the Dunemonte cars do here? At least one of them always has a good qualification, and that’s very important here, maybe even more important than on the Hungaroring.
The Local Hero
We don’t have a Spanish driver on the grid so the Spanish fans don’t have a home driver to cheer on. It’s likely that the Colombian driver Joe Armstrong will have the fans behind him, but we’ll see.
The Local Team
Rantosa Racing Team didn’t have a very good start of the season. In three races only two of the six cars made it till the finish: Van der Valde finished the race as 16th at Silverstone, while Coutinho finished 16th on the Red-Bull Ring. A funny fact is that both times the driver started as 22nd, although that’s not a certainty to finish the race. Van der Valde started 22nd on the Hungaroring as well and he didn’t finish the race. So Rantosa’s first goal is to finish the race, then they can look to a better car, qualification and after that they can try to score points. They could also take them this race, but then they need the luck that both the car finishes the race and that many other cars won’t finish.
Drivers’ opinions and expectations
Ounheua Khochaleune: “So... I have not reached the finish line in any of the races, yet I still outperform my teammate... Something's wrong and I hope the team can bring a big update to Spain so we can atleast have a car which is reliable enough to race with. Finishing will remain my goal, and I will not rest until I accomplish it.”
Joe Armstrong: “I'm looking forward to Jérez as it suits my driving style, but also it will help us get closer to Panico because he can't get the car up to top speed, meaning that we will be closer to him, and I think that I will be able get past him and pull away as our car has shown great speed through the corners this year.”
Paul Rosanski: “I'm looking forward to Jérez as it suits my driving style, but also it will help us get closer to Panico because he can't get the car up to top speed, meaning that we will be closer to him, and I think that I will be able get past him and pull away as our car has shown great speed through the corners this year.”
Ricciardo Gambino: “My opinion about this race is that it will be a close one, it is very technical for most drivers and you can’t access your top speed very often, I predict many teams to be close to the win that we haven't seen before, hopefully Travinski will be amongst them as well.”
Arie DePalma: “I have mixed feelings about the Jérez track. I've never really raced there but I did once did some laps on the Jerez track in the 1996 Ferrari F310. That was however the shorter variation, cutting out the Curva Sito Pons and the Chicane Ayrton Senna. I did had a lot of fun riding there. About the track I liked the track except for the parts that are now cut out, so I'm hoping that I have a fun time racing there next weekend.”
Ginno Albatrone: “Jérez is a good looking track with a lot of history. Of course there are some things changed compared to twenty years ago, but maybe otherwise it wouldn’t have been used anymore. I’m happy to race on this circuit. Overtaking is very difficult so the qualification is very important. Paul Rosanski has already shown that the car is fast enough for pole-position. Personally I hope to finish in the Top-5 in both qualification and race. It would be a great result. Beating Rosanski would be awesome as well but I may not focus too much on him. Otherwise I could underperform and that’s the last thing I want.”
Timothy Raue: “I’m satisfied about last race. I didn’t expect a lot about it, but I’m happy I took a point. The next race is on a very nice circuit and I hope that I can take some points there as well.”

Race Masters Evolved - Race 4 - Jérez - Qualification
Sebastian Schumacher takes his first pole of his career! He beats Paul Rosanski, who had the pole the last two races, with two tenths of a second. Moreno Costa seems to be a bit back after he didn’t do well the last two races. For the first time he beats Antonio Panico, who may be really disappointed with his fifth position. Ginno Albatrone seems to be a good replacement for the injured Justin Clark: he takes the fourth position.
The Favourites
With this qualification result Schumacher seems to be the main favourite, although Rosanski could be very dangerous from the second position. But it looks like these two will fight for the victory. Costa and Albatrone were not very far behind them but Costa is probably not good enough at the moment and we don’t know what Albatrone can do. We also have to watch out for Panico, although this is the first time he won’t start on the front row, but with his dominance the first three races it wouldn’t be a surprise if he’ll be on the podium tomorrow.
The Dark Horse
With the second row for Costa and Albatrone it seems that they’ll be the dark horses for tomorrow. Costa hasn’t had very good results in Hungary and Austria after he had an awesome start at Silverstone. Can he return on the podium tomorrow? Albatrone makes his debut and a fourth place is a good result for him. A Top-5 position in the race tomorrow would be nice, although he’s not far away from the podium.
The Local Team
Rantosa didn’t have a very bad qualification. A 20th and 22nd position is just what their car can do. Hopefully for them there are many DNF’s tomorrow so they can finish within the Top-15 and maybe, with very much luck, within the points. That would be a very big surprise, but you’ll never know. Everything can happen.
Top-3 Press Conference
Sebastian Schumacher: “I’m very happy with my first pole. This is what I wanted since the start of the season. It took me three races time to be there. I wasn’t consistent enough the first races, but I think that I’ll be from now on. I think that the victory tomorrow should be possible, because the car is good and I’m good as well. I go for the victory, and the fastest lap would be nice as well. Complete domination, you say it.”
Paul Rosanski: “A good qualification for us once again, although I’d prefer to be on pole. Still the first row is a good result and I’m happy to see Panico not here as well. We can take some points back tomorrow and that’s also my mission, although I still go for the victory. But then you take points back as well.”
Moreno Costa: “Well, I’m back in the Top-3. Now I hope to hold it tomorrow, but I think I can. I’m also happy to see my teammate behind me, and I’d really like to finish in front of him tomorrow as well. I’m looking forward to it.”

"Yeah, great result, but it's sad trat this isn't in Germany, because the first row is a german row...and again a Schumacher on Pole."
(You don't have to worry. I am not this nationalistic, but somehow I have some sympathy for the other german in the field.)

Race Masters Evolved - Race 4 - Jérez - Race
It looked like Sebastian Schumacher would win the race, but with three laps to go he got a problem so he didn’t finish the race. Paul Rosanski takes his first victory and it’s good to see that Panico didn’t win this race as well, although he still takes some points on most of the other drivers by finishing second. His teammate Moreno Costa has found his way to the podium back.
The Favourites
As expected the drivers from the front row fought for the victory. Sebastian Schumacher took the lead, but after that he lost it for a while. Just before his pit-stop he took it back and after Rosanski made his pit-stop as well it looked like he was just taking his first victory, but three laps before the end it went wrong. We’re not quite sure what happened so we’d like to hear it from the driver himself. It looked like he got a technical problem with one of the suspensions and crashed of the circuit. Well, so he didn’t finished the race and that means that Rosanski takes his first victory. Panico controls the damage by finishing second.
The Dark Horse
Moreno Costa, who started third, finished third as well, but he didn’t achieve his goal to finish in front of his teammate. Albatrone, who started fourth, crashed out the race early. There were many DNF’s this race: eight. That means that some smaller teams took their chance and finished better than usual.
The Home Team
And once again a complete disaster for Rantosa. Both cars didn’t finish the race. Van der Valde crashed, and after that Coutinho got an electrical problem. There’s a lot of trouble at the Spanish team. The reliability of the car is bad and it doesn’t have much grip as well, so both drivers crash often. Hopefully they’ll be better later this season.
Top-3 Press Conference
Paul Rosanski: “Yes, finally everything went well on the Sunday. I was happy with my second place on the grid and I fought some nice battles with Schumacher. Unfortunately for him the race was three laps too long. Unfortunately Panico finished second so I don’t take many points back, but the season is long. First I’m going to enjoy my first victory.”
Antonio Panico: “Well, this time had to come once. No first position in a race, but after my bad qualification yesterday I’m satisfied with this result. You can’t win everything so don’t blame me. I’m still on the podium and only Rosanski takes more points than I do, and he’s already far behind me, so I don’t worry.”
Moreno Costa: “It’s nice to be back on the podium. The last two races didn’t went very well for me but I’m happy to be back on the podium. Unfortunately I didn’t finish in front of Antonio but it’s still a good result.”
Driver’s Quotes
Ounheua Khochaleune: I finally finished a race! That’ll be a big party tonight!”
(Ounheua Khochaleune is happy with few)
Martin Lloyd: “I’m happy with my first points and the first points for my team. And Ounheua finished the race as well so that’ll be a very big party tonight.”
(Martin Lloyd surprised to finish eighth)
Timothy Raue: Wait a second, sixth? Now I’m sure I need new contact lenses.”
(Timothy Raue can’t believe his eyes after he sees he finished sixth)
Seamus Doherty: Wow, fourth is an awesome result. And only six seconds away from the podium!”
(Apparently your result at Silverstone wasn’t a lucky one, Seamus)
Sebastian Schumacher: “Unbelievable!”
(Sebastian Schumacher can’t believe he lost the victory three laps before the finish)
Joe Armstrong: “What a bad race for us. Both cars didn’t finish and Sebastian lost his victory so close near the end of the race. Now I’m happy that a pole and fastest lap gives points as well, so at least we take two of them.”
(Armstrong is looking to the positive side of the rules)
Ginno Albatrone: “The only difference between Justin and me is that I’m not injured and Justin was. That was a stupid crash.”
(Ginno Albatrone didn’t enjoy his good qualification)
Jakab Zoltan: “We need one position more to finish in the points.”
(Jakab Zoltan knows the rules)
Justin Clark: “I’m much better in crashing than Ginno. Let me do it next race.”
(Uhh, Justin, I’m not sure the team will like it)

Our pace wasn't quite there, but a point is a point, so I'm quite glad. Also, congrats to my teammate, Sheamus, for the great driving! |

Joe Armstrong Reaction
What a bad race for us. Both cars didn’t finish and Sebastian lost his victory so close near the end of the race. Now I’m happy that a pole and fastest lap gives points as well, so at least we take two of them
I just have no words, today was terrible and I'm just absolutely gutted as my family are here as I live nearby, although the only way is up now, and I know that we have had a great season compared to some teams.
