No, it's way harder than just copying names and stats. Equipment, sponsors, regions, scouts, talents, basically whole CDB needs to be changed. Not saying that it's impossible, but it's really hard.
Depends how deep he wants to make the changes. A full recreation is very hard, but getting the essence via teams and stats is easy...

What if I keep default teams and copy the names and stats though? Can't the equipment, sponsors etc. be default? Sorry if this sounds stupid - I'm no expert

True. I mean, you can just copy/paste the info for your team/rider and simulate the career to the point you came in PCM13, but well... that sucks.

What if I just say 2014 is 2016 though?

I imagine it'll be tricky with getting the stat limits & potential right if you change multiple stats of various riders?

That would be even more sucky, in my honest opinion. However, it's your story, so it's your decision. Good luck with it, I'll be here to help if I can.

PCM14 story idea locked and confirmed now (apart from whether it will be PCM14 or PCM13 but whatever). If it goes according to plan it is going to be a weird hybrid if realistic personal updates and fantasy cycling set-ups. Is going to take roughly 1million hours to set up to the perfect level but i should have the chance to do so over the summer. Very exciting now i've decided on this idea over my other concept

so we can expect a story from you in 41666 days/5952 weeks/1373 months/114 years
that's quiet a bit in into the future, don't think I'll be on daily at the time it's happening

Nay in my opinion. People tend to pay more attention with pictures in the reports, and it's easier to read and more fun to read. But can work if you're a great writer. |

Yay. Check Gafeff's story.

This. That story is getting too little attention for no reason, but the team is so interesting and it's easy to follow that story (PCM12->T'other British Cycling Team)

What you guys think of me doing a Katusha story?. At the moment im in TDU and San Luis, Trofimv and Kristoff doing well in Aus and Spilak is crushing San Luis. I had planned a story with it but im thinking of starting in 2015 so will do a season on my own first. Or do you think be better to start in first year?
I just wanted a story to get quite far in seasons so if i do first year we can see who does well. I would do a nice write up on the 2014 year. Purito will be peaking for Giro and the WC he will ride La Vuelta but only on number 2 fitness. Spilak and Kristoff lead the TDF.
Good thing with Katusha, Purito is getting old and when he goes i will get rid of Moreno so i can then get good reinforcements like say Kwiatkowski and Kreuziger. I lik eastern riders so i think it has nice petential. Hey i could even get Sagan and it would look a realistic transfer .
