If it sucks, how is it the fastest and most used browser?
I used to be the Firefox user, but I swapped to Chrome a few weeks after it came out and never switched back... |

I'd just like to point out that those statistics have some problems in that Chrome is pre-installed on a lot of phones and tablets whereas Firefox is not. The rate of increase forChrome has been similar to the rate of increase for Samsung browser-usage (which come pre-installed). Samsung are now going to come with Firefox pre-installed and I am willing to bet you that Firefox will get a substantial boost and Chrome a drop off because of that.

You do realize speed is irrelevant under most conditions. It will only ever be as fast as your connection and the servers its getting the data from.
I've used both Chrome and Firefox a lot, and imo Firefox is better.
It has less bugs, better support and isn't owned by Google (the second most evil computer company)! And running from the same laptop, accessing the same site with my internet connection they are the same speed.

Broke my leg today while doing the hurdles, ending my Athletics and Cricket seasons
I think I could have had a shot at the Nationals as well, was feeling good after a lot of training and jumping a new PB (Main event is triple). Oh well...
If your main event is triple, why do you do hurdling??? I am mighty confused!
Sprints and triple already doesnt make a lot of sense (thats what I "do" , but hurdles? That is just suicide for your body. Afterall, it is widely agreed upon that triple jumpers max out at 25-26 and their jumping career is almost over at 27-28, cause the knees cant take the abuse anymore...
With hurdles, you just inrease that abuse (unless you ment hurdle drills, which makes 90% of this post useless)...
I'm not a hurdler, on the track I do 1500m. My club was doing a hurdles race and hadn't done it for a year so I decided to join in (bad idea )
Thanks guys
You are making less sense every minute
1500 and TJ? How do you train for that??? I mean middle distance speedwork is what us sprinters call easy pace at 70-80%, or to put it in better persepective: our endurance sessions during the winter! But you need a quick acceleration for the TJ... Thats at least how I jump: Flat out sprint and then, much like jonathan edwards, low jumps carrying the speed (natural sprinter with potential for jumps is what my coach said )
I can sprint decently for my age group (around 13 seconds), so I can generate some good speed. My main strength is jumping though, for sure. My technique isn't perfect, have quite a big hop. I have a good rythm when jumping though and probably haven't fully perfected it yet (I'm 13 so will still grow and develop)
As for 1500, I am not brilliant at it but I can do well at county level. I do a bit of both in terms of training, trying to balance it out.
I know it is a weird combination of events though

If that may enlight the discussion about sprints/jumps, here's what I found on Fred Grappes website :
https://www.fredericgrappe.com/enseign.../tests.pdf
Check out page 51/146 for the chart.
People with a Bosco index (that rates natural explosiveness) of 0,45 or above have the best potential for jumps
0,35 to 0,40, you're rather aimed for sprints
0,25 to 0,30 that'd be 800-1500 m
0,15 to 0,20 is a profile for long distances
I'm probably around 0,20 now, I was probably closer to 0,25-0,30 in my youth (I still sucked at any kind of jumping).
Doing TJ +1500 m is rather odd...

I always knew that the french are strange people. Why do they build submarines carrying inter-continental nuclear weapons if they think it is terrible?

That sub will look great when it's placed next to it's sister-sub, the "Le sinks-a-lot".
It could also be an extremely clever tactic by their Navy.
Radar-operator: "Sir, I see an approcaching submarine. It's Terrible."
Commander: "In that case, don't worry."
Radar-operator: "No, sir. It's really Terrible!"
Commander: "Then don't waste time on it, soldier! What harm can it do?"

Because "Terrible" doesn't translate literally to English ?
Terrible (fr) = terrific (en)
terrible (en) =~ horrible / mauvais (fr) |

I wasn't sure so I used google translate.
But calling such a monster "the terrific" at least emphasizes my first sentence. |

In fairness you could have just stopped at that first sentence, even without the picture

I've never understood why people hate on IE. They only say it sucks and give no reason.

Slow, clunky, random pointless updates, terrible support, few 3rd party developments, few 1st party developments, ugly and made by the 3rd most evil computing company
